EFFICIENT ADDRESS CACHING FOR PACKET TELEPHONY SERVICES
A method for telephony includes receiving at an Internet telephony service provider a subscriber request to place a call to a telephone number. A cache associated with the internet telephony service provider is queried to check if the cache holds a record for the telephone number. If the cache holds the record, the record is obtained. If the cache does not hold the record, a request is sent to a database server that maintains a database of records associating endpoint user terminal telephone numbers of subscribers with respective packet network addresses of the endpoint user terminal. The call is placed to the endpoint user terminal telephone number via a public switched telephone network whilst the request is sent to the database server to retrieve the packet network address of the endpoint user terminal to which calls to the telephone number should be placed.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS CALL AUGMENTATION SYSTEM
A method of augmenting a telecommunications call, the method comprising: detecting a telecommunications call event at a user telecommunications device; selecting an item of media content, the item of media content being associated with the calling party; augmenting the call with the item of media content; detecting a user interaction with the device in response to the item of media content; and transmitting information relating to the user interaction to the calling party.

The mobile telecommunications device comprises: a sensor set comprising at least one of an image sensor, an audio sensor, an accelerometer and a positioning module, or a combination thereof; a processor; and a memory; the mobile telecommunications device being configured to: determine, based at least in part on sensor data from the device's sensor set, a start of a driving period during which the mobile device is present in the vehicle and the vehicle is in use, process the sensor data from the sensor set during the driving period to derive driving information associated with how the vehicle is driven, mobile telecommunications device being configured to process the sensor data automatically, using a neural network provided in the mobile device, to determine whether the driving information represents an acceptable or unacceptable driving pattern; and store at least some of the driving information to the memory.
Techniques for behavioral pairing in a contact center system
Techniques for behavioral pairing in a contact center system are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for pairing in a contact center including ordering one or more contacts, ordering one or more agents, comparing a first difference in ordering between a first contact and a first agent in a first pair with a second difference in ordering between a second contact and a second agent in a second pair, and selecting the first pair or the second pair for connection based on the comparing, wherein the first contact and the second contact are different or the first agent and the second agent are different.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CHANGING LOCATION OF PREVIEW IMAGE ACCORDING TO DIRECTION OF CAMERA
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first housing including a first face and a second face, a second housing including a third face and a fourth face, a folding part rotatably connecting the first housing and the second housing, a flexible display disposed on the first face and the third face, a camera exposed through at least a portion of the fourth face, a memory configured to store instructions, and a processor configured to determine an orientation of the electronic device and a direction in which the camera is pointed while a camera application is executed, identify the first area or the second area as an area in which a preview image acquired through the camera is displayed based at least on the determined direction and the determined orientation, and display the preview image, acquired through the camera, in the identified area using the flexible display.
Electronic device
An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention can comprise: a housing including a first plate, a second plate, and a side member surrounding the space between the first plate and the second plate; a processor arranged in the space; a display exposed through a part of the first plate; a communication circuit arranged in the space; a piezoelectric actuator arranged in the space and providing vibration to the first plate; a speaker arranged in the space near the edge of the first plate; an audio processing circuit arranged in the space and electrically connected to the piezoelectric actuator and the speaker; and a memory arranged in the space and electrically connected to the processor. According to various embodiments, when instructions, which can be included by the memory, are executed, the processor wirelessly connects to an external device by using the communication circuit, receives an audio signal through the communication circuit, and provides the audio signal to the audio processing circuit. According to various embodiments, the side member can be separated from or integrated with the second plate. According to various embodiments, the audio processing circuit can provide, to the piezoelectric actuator, a first signal having a first frequency band and can provide, to the speaker, a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band, on the basis of at least a part of the audio signal. Additional various embodiments are possible.

The at least one processor is configured to: identify that a magnetic signal is detected through the magnetic sensor; identify, based on a magnitude of the detected magnetic signal, whether the magnetic signal is generated by coupling the electronic device with a cover device; and based on identifying that the magnetic signal is generated by coupling the electronic device with the cover device, correct sensor data of the magnetic sensor.
Techniques for benchmarking pairing strategies in a contact center system
Techniques for benchmarking pairing strategies in a contact center system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for benchmarking pairing strategies in a contact center system comprising: determining for each contact of a plurality of contacts, an associated plurality of historical contact assignments; determining, for each contact, an associated outcome value; partitioning, for each contact, the associated plurality of historical assignments into a first associated subset assigned using a first pairing strategy and a second associated subset assigned using a second pairing strategy; determining, for each contact, a first portion of the associated outcome value attributable to the first associated subset and a second portion of the associated outcome value attributable to the second associated subset; outputting a difference in performance between the first and second pairing strategies according to the first and second associated portions of the associated outcome value for each contact.
Prepopulation of call center cache
A system, process, and computer-readable medium for updating an application cache using a stream listening service is described. A stream listening service may monitor one or more data streams for content relating to a user. The stream listening service may forward the content along with time-to-live values to an application cache. A user may use an application to obtain information regarding the user's account, where the application obtains information from a data store and/or cached information from the application cache. The stream listening service, by forwarding current account information, obtained from listening to one or more streams, to the application cache, reduces traffic at the data store by providing current information from the data stream to the application cache.
