A method and system are disclosed herein for accepting multimodal inputs and deriving synchronized and processed information. A reusable multimodal application is provided on the mobile device. A user transmits a multimodal command to the multimodal platform via the mobile network. The one or more modes of communication that are inputted are transmitted to the multimodal platform(s) via the mobile network(s) and thereafter synchronized and processed at the multimodal platform. The synchronized and processed information is transmitted to the multimodal application. If required, the user verifies and appropriately modifies the synchronized and processed information. The verified and modified information are transferred from the multimodal application to the visual application. The final result(s) are derived by inputting the verified and modified results into the visual application.

The method includes: detecting, by a user terminal, at least one entering operation performed on a moment indication numeral on a clock dial, where the clock dial is displayed on a standby screen of the user terminal; determining, by the user terminal, a dialing numeral corresponding to the entering operation; generating, by the user terminal, a dialing number according to the dialing numeral; and performing, by the user terminal, a call by using the dialing number as a called number, a user may perform a dialing operation by using the standby screen of the user terminal, and can perform the dialing operation without a need to enter a home screen by using the standby screen and then enter a dialing screen by using the home screen.

Centralized channel management of a set group-based communication system is described. A channel management interface, of the group-based communication system, can be presented via a client of a user associated with a first organization, wherein the channel management interface includes communication channels associated with the first organization, wherein at least a first communication channel is associated with the first organization and a second organization, and wherein at least a second communication channel is associated with the first organization and a third organization. A request can be received via the channel management interface to initiate a channel management action associated with at least one of the first communication channel or the second communication channel and in response to receiving the request to initiate the channel management action, data associated with at least one of the first communication channel or the second communication channel can be updated.
