Voicemail proxy server
Methods and systems directed to retrieving voicemails from a voice mailbox server. In particular embodiments, a mailbox server may receive a notification from the voice mailbox server and connect to the voice mailbox server providing the credentials of a client device, and pull new voicemails for storage at the mailbox server. In particular embodiments, mailbox server periodically polls voice mailbox server for new voicemail messages. In particular embodiments, a client device polls or receives notification of new voicemails, and transmits a downloaded message to the mailbox server.
IMPROVING VOICE CALL PERFORMANCE TESTING
There is provided a method comprising: determining, by a network element, that at least one terminal device is capable of performing a voice call quality test, sending a radio system specific control message to the at least one terminal device, wherein the control message causes the at least one terminal device to perform the voice call quality test, and obtaining the voice call quality test results.
Methods, Apparatuses and System for Synchronizing Call Media and Content
Provided are methods, apparatuses and a system for synchronizing call media and content. In a process of playing call media to a user and displaying content associated with the call media, a terminal acquires new call media from a call media server and acquires, after querying a synchronization server for content information corresponding to the new call media, content associated with the new call media from a content server, respectively, in response to a user operation. The terminal plays the new call media to the user, and displays the content associated with the new call media simultaneously.
CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, WIRELESS TERMINAL, CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A conference management system of the present invention displays, before terminals used by users participate in a conference, electric field intensity information of the respective terminals, and available capacity information of bands in a plurality of lines, for each of the respective terminals and enables the users to select one terminal from among the plurality of terminals based on the display. Provided is the conference management system including a conference management device connected to a plurality of networks and a plurality of wireless terminals connected to the conference management device via access points corresponding to the plurality of networks. One or more wireless terminals corresponding to a predetermined user name display a plurality of wireless terminal names corresponding to the predetermined user name, and electric field intensity information and band information of access points to which the respective terminals belong, which have been received from the conference management device.
SINGLE INTERFACE FOR PROVISIONING COLLECTED DATA TO REQUESTING SYSTEMS
Systems and methods are described herein for providing multiple, different types of information for mobile devices and associated users to requesting systems, such as customer service systems provided by telecommunications carriers. The systems and methods may generate a single API that, when called by a requesting system (e.g., via a request transmitted by the requesting system that includes subscriber or device information), provides data collected from multiple, disparate data sources back to the requesting system via the single API.
SYSTEM PROVIDING RELEVANT SERVICES TO TRANSIENT DEVICES IN WIRELESS NETWORKS AND METHODS THEREOF
Generally described, the present disclosure relates to communications and more particularly, to a system providing relevant services to transient devices in wireless networks and methods thereof. In one illustrative embodiment, a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) client on a device can be synchronized with a network so that the device can appear as a local entity. The UCC client can facilitate exchange of data to ease the integration of the device into the local environment. After being synchronized, the UCC client can seek out available assistance from the local network and provide it to the user. Typically, the data retrieved from the local network pertains to the current location. The local network can be used to provide wireless service to mobile devices in order to remove them from their carrier network, including providing a local breakout via a Private Branch Exchange (PBX).
Apparatus and method for emergency dispatch
A disclosed method includes receiving data inputs for a plurality of events including alarms, sensors, and mobile device emergency call and emergency alert related emergency data; determining event correlations based on the data inputs to generate a set of correlated events; determining emergency network dispatch rules for each correlated event based on event type; applying corresponding emergency network dispatch rules to each corresponding correlated event; and sending a dispatch recommendation to an emergency network entity for each correlated event based on application of the corresponding emergency network dispatch rules.
ACCESS TO HEALTH INFORMATION DURING EMERGENCY CALL
A mobile device (110) and an emergency entity (120) in a mobile network (130) accommodate emergency calls. The network is coupled to a medical database (140) comprising respective electronic health records (EHR) regarding respective persons. The mobile device is arranged to obtain the encrypted medical identifier of a user of the device; and, upon establishing that the user may be a victim of the emergency, to include the encrypted medical identifier in the emergency message during an emergency call. The emergency entity is arranged to retrieve the encrypted medical identifier from the emergency message, and to access the medical database to retrieve at least one electronic health record based on the encrypted medical identifier for enabling forwarding of information from the electronic health record to responders to an emergency.
User call quality improvement
The disclosed system provides a facility for improving user call quality at a mobile device. The system includes an over-the-top (OTT) client that may be installed on the mobile device for allowing a user to initiate call quality tests. The system performs a call quality test to generate a call quality score or metric from the obtained audio sample via a Call Quality Algorithm. If the call quality score or metric falls below a predetermined threshold, the system may suggest (via the OTT client or via a push notification) that the user of the mobile device switch from the first communication interface (e.g., a radio network such as 4G) to a second communication interface (e.g., Wi-Fi) on the mobile device. The disclosed system tracks the call quality score or metric of multiple mobile devices operating within a telecommunications network, identifies service outages within the network, and notifies impacted mobile devices.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HYBRID IN-PERSON AND REMOTE AUDIO/VISUAL CONFERENCE BROADCASTING
A hybrid in-person and remote audiovisual conference broadcasting system provides a centrally controlled system for managing and broadcasting the audiovisual data collected from mobile devices both in humanly perceptible proximity of an in-person public-address system and beyond humanly perceptible proximity to the in-person public-address system. In an exemplar embodiment, a moderator controls requests from various participant members to broadcast audio or video from their personal mobile device to the other group members. Some members may be in proximity to an in-person public address system where they may for example be able to hear amplified audio and see live projected or otherwise presented video. In this exemplar embodiment, remote users not in proximity to the in-person public address system may also participate by for example listening to and viewing the broadcast audiovisual data on their personal mobile devices. Both in-person/local users and remote users may request to be selected for broadcasting to all users.
