Bridging physical and virtual spaces

Examples of systems and methods for bridging virtual and physical spaces are described. In some of these examples, a particular communicant's real world state drives changes in one or more of the communications connections, virtual state, and communications interface of the particular communicant or another communicant.

Location Determination and Telephone Number Distribution for Emergency Calls
20230034158 · 2023-02-02 ·

Location determination and telephone number distribution for emergency calls is enabled by a telephony system which maintains multiple pools of telephone numbers. Each pool corresponds to a different region such that the pools of telephone numbers are defined at the region-level rather than at the site-level. The telephony system determines the location of a calling device initiating an emergency call regardless of whether the calling device is at a known site. Based on the determined location of the calling device, one of the pools of telephone numbers which corresponds to that location is selected. The telephony system thereafter distributes a telephone number for the calling device to use for the emergency call from that selected pool of telephone numbers to facilitate an emergency call between the calling device and a local public safety answering point.

SUBSCRIBER AUTHENTICATION RESPONSIVE TO EMERGENCY SERVICES REGISTRATION

Methods, apparatuses, and/or articles of manufacture may be implemented to authenticate a subscriber of a communications device. The method may include receiving, via a server coupled to a network, a first signal that indicates a modification of one or more location descriptors corresponding to a communications device. The modification may occur in connection with receipt of the one or more location descriptors by an emergency services provider. The method may include storing a record of the modification of the one or more location descriptors in response to creation of one or more new location descriptors corresponding to a subscriber identifier, modification of one or more previously existing location descriptors corresponding to the subscriber identifier, or deletion of the subscriber identifier. The method may additionally include generating a second signal to form or update an electronic or digital identity of the communications device responsive to receiving the first signal.

Realtime, interactive and geographically defined computerized personal identification and matching methods

In general, the invention relates to a method of interactive and live computerized matching in which a first user has a personal data device including a wireless communication system. A network is configured to include a server programmed with a personal characteristic database and a database searching algorithm, and a wireless communication system that is capable of communicating with the user's personal data device. The first user is allowed to log on through the wireless communication system to the network using his or her personal data device, and communicates to and stores in the database personal data defining his or her characteristics and those for his or her ideal match. Either the secure network automatically identifies the first users precise geographic location, or the user himself otherwise indicates and stores in the database of the network an identifying address that indicates his current specific geographic location. The user then instructs the database searching algorithm to search for and identify other users on to the network near the same geographic location to facilitate a match.

TELEPHONE CALL SCREENER BASED ON CALL CHARACTERISTICS

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for implementing menu-based communication are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a first computing device, a communication and data identifying a second computing device as a recipient of the communication. The actions may further include determining a first and second candidate response to the communication. The actions may further include providing, to the second computing device, the communication, the first and second candidate responses, and instructions to provide, for output by the second computing device, the first and second candidate responses as selectable responses to the communication. The actions may further include receiving, from the second computing device, the selection of the first or second candidate response. The actions may further include providing, for output to the first computing device, data indicating the selection of the first or second candidate response.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSES BY EVALUATING MEDIA DATA

A method and system for emergency responses can evaluate media data. An appropriate authority device or system can analyze media data such as a picture provided by an eyewitness' device to determine whether emergency relevant objects are visible in the media data and assigns confidence values to them. Furthermore, the location of the objects and the location of the media data can be determined to verify the authenticity of the possible emergency and to respond with the appropriate emergency response.

Predictive location selection optimization system

A system can receive, over one or more networks, location data from a computing device of a requesting user, where the location data indicates a current position of the requesting user. The system can repeatedly determine, based at least in part on location data corresponding to a directional heading of a proximate transport provider in relation to the current position of the requesting user, an optimal rendezvous location for the requesting user prior to the requesting user transmitting a service request to the network computer system. The system may then transmit, over the one or more networks, data corresponding to the optimal rendezvous location to the computing device of the requesting user.

Rendering of sounds associated with selected target objects external to a device

The techniques disclosed herein include a first device including one or more processors configured to detect a selection of at least one target object external to the first device, and initiate a channel of communication between the first device and a second device associated with the at least one target object external to the first device. The one or more processors may be configured to receive audio packets, from the second device, in response to the selection of at least one target object external to the device, decode the audio packets, received from the second device, to generate an audio signal. The one or more processors may be configured to output the audio signal based on the selection of the at least one target object external to the first device. The first device includes a memory, coupled to the one or more processors, configured to store the audio packets.

System and method for enhanced virtual queuing

A system and method for managing virtual queues. A cloud-based queue service manages a plurality of queues hosted by one or more entities. The queue service is in constant communication with the entities providing queue management, queue analysis, and queue recommendations. The queue service is likewise in direct communication with queued persons. Sending periodic updates while also motivating and incentivizing punctuality and minimizing wait times based on predictive analysis. The predictive analysis uses “Big Data” and other available data resources, for which the predictions assist in the balancing of persons across multiple queues for the same event or multiple persons across a sequence of queues for sequential events.

SYSTEMS, METHODS AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR WIRELESS SOLICITATIONS

Product offering systems are provided. Product offering systems may include sending an offer to a customer that possesses a mobile computing device and has agreed to receive offers for products via the mobile computing device. Agreeing to receive offers would result in the unique data about the customer being available to offer provider. Unique customer data may include data related to the customers wireless service provider or from a financial account in a financial institution, and collecting customer data about the customer, wherein the customer data comprises financial data and personal data. Product offering systems may further include registering a wireless computing device of the customer to able the device to receive the offer, and determining opportunities to send the offer to the customer by monitoring the customer and the customer data. Product offering systems may also include sending the offer to the customer's registered device based on the determination of opportunities.
