DEVICE PAIRING TAKING INTO ACCOUNT AT LEAST ONE CONDITION
Some embodiments of the present invention include pairing two wireless devices by placing at least one of two devices in a pairing mode; performing at least one pairing motion event with at least one of the wireless devices to satisfy at least one pairing condition; detecting satisfaction of the at least one pairing condition; and pairing the two wireless devices in response to detecting satisfaction of the at least one pairing condition. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Audio communication system with a dongle
An audio communication system is disclosed. The audio communication system comprises a speaker device having at least one speaker, a first wireless communication unit and a first connector part; a dongle having control functionality, a second wireless communication unit, and a second connector part, the dangle being configured to operate in a first mode being an audio communication system pairing mode and in a second mode being an audio communication system operating mode. The second connector part is in the audio communication system pairing mode configured to interconnect with the first connector part to enable pairing of the dongle and the speaker device. The second connector part is the audio communication system operating mode configured to interconnect with an external device, providing wireless communication between the speaker device and the external device.
System and method for near field communication coupling in a vehicle
An electric field personal seat communication protocol within an inductive charging supporting near field communication (NFC) chipset is positioned in respective portions of a vehicle and a personal communications device. Such a chipset can then be utilized to support safety and security applications including the reduction of driver distraction due to cellular phone use at inappropriate times, improved security of vehicle based wireless network based on occupancy detection (E-field sensor 20) and secondary BAN between the seat sensor and NFC enabled devices held/possessed by the occupant. Alternatively, the E-field sensor function could be integrated directly into an NFC chipset that supports the PSC E-field communication protocol.
HEADSET ADAPTER AND A HEADSET SYSTEM
A headset adapter and a headset system for voice communication comprising a headset and a headset adapter as well as a method of enabling microphone transmission to a host device are provided. The headset comprises at least one earphone having a headset speaker, a headset microphone and a headset transceiver, the headset adapter being configured to interconnect the headset and a host device, the headset adapter comprising an adapter processor, a host interface, such as a host interface interconnecting the adapter processor and the host device, an adapter transceiver configured to establish a wireless communication link with the headset. The adapter furthermore comprises a controller configured to enable and disable the headset microphone. The adapter processor is configured to receive a request for headset microphone activation or microphone deactivation, for example from the host interface, and in response to receiving the request providing a control signal to the controller to enable or disable the headset microphone. The controller may thus activate the transceiver to configure the wireless communication link with the headset.
Information system with detachable information module
A unitary handheld portable module includes a keypad for entering data and a display for displaying data. A base module is configured to be coupled with and communicate through a telephone line and includes a keypad for dialing a telephone number and a display for displaying information. The portable and base modules are configured to have a mounted configuration in which the portable module is removably mounted on the base module and covers the base module's display, and the modules communicate with each other for the portable module's display to display information relating to operation of the base module.
Proximity-enhanced reconfiguration of telephone ring list
Proximity of a user/device to a designated location or other user/device can be determined and used to trigger automatic reconfiguration of a telephone ring list associated with the user/device. Accordingly, there is no need for manual reconfiguration to accommodate changes in the user's location or schedule. Specific phone numbers may be added or removed from a user's ring list based on proximity information, and the ring list may be reconfigured as the user arrives at or departs from a designated location. The user's desired phones will automatically ring for incoming calls based on the ring list and/or an identification of the incoming call.
Personnel contact history recording method, electronic device and computer program product
A personnel contact history recording method executable by an electronic device, comprising: scanning surrounding devices via Bluetooth by a preset time interval; requesting a device name and an IMSI of the scanned device, when at least one device is scanned, and generating a surrounding phone list according to the scanned devices; comparing the surrounding phone list with a daily list to determine whether the devices recording in the surrounding phone list are recorded in the daily list; and, if at least one device recording in the surrounding phone list is recorded in the daily list, sending a warning message to the electronic device and a server.
Methods and arrangements to improve link with out-of-band information
Logic may facilitate the establishment and maintenance of a link in a 60 gigahertz band. Logic may determine via out-of-band information that a distance is not likely a reason for failure of a link in the 60 gigahertz band. Logic may determine via out-of-band information that the distance between devices is within a range of the link in the 60 gigahertz band. Logic may determine via out-of-band information that an orientation of one of the devices may be a cause of a poor or failed 60 GHz connection. Logic may display a message to a user related to possible issues with establishing or maintaining a 60 GHz connection. Logic may determine that refining a beamforming directional granularity may improve chances of maintaining a link in the 60 gigahertz band. And logic may synch devices via an out-of-band connection.
Call control method and terminal
A Bluetooth-related call control method for mobile phones and a mobile terminal relate to the technical field of mobile communication terminals and Bluetooth. The terminal disclosed in the present document includes: a Bluetooth connection detection module, configured to detect a Bluetooth connection state between a headset and the terminal, and when the Bluetooth connection state between the headset and the terminal is a disconnected state and in a current call state a call is present, transmit a prompt tone play command to a play module; and the play module, configured to read and play externally a first preset audio file according to the prompt tone play command transmitted by the Bluetooth connection detection module, herein the first preset audio file stores a prompt tone indicating that the Bluetooth headset has been disconnected.
FACILITATING A SECURE SESSION BETWEEN PAIRED DEVICES
A wearable device can establish a verified session with a host device. For example, if a user wearing the wearable device unlocks the host device (e.g., by entering a credential), the devices can create a verified session, which can persist across lock and unlock events at the host device. For the duration of the verified session, a host device can request session confirmation from the wearable device at any time to confirm that the verified session is still in progress. While the session is in progress, the host can make features available such as bypassing re-entry of a credential during unlock operations.
