The present disclosure is directed to a printing system. The printing system includes a geographic location server on a network that has access to a geographic location database. The printing system also includes a user profile server that has access to a user profile database. The printing system also includes a mobile client device that can communicate with the geographic location server and the user profile server and is associated with a user profile included in the user profile database. The geographic location server and the user profile server cooperatively provide print data when the mobile client device is within a threshold distance of a geographic position of one geographic location stored within the geographic location database. The print data is based on one location-based artifact of the geographic location and user profile data, and is printed by a printing device.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH WIRELESS EARBUD

The disclosure herein provides a personal wireless media station including a main body and a wireless earbud. The personal wireless media station may detect that an earbud connector of the wireless earbud is connected to a main body connector of the main body, play sound through a speaker of the main body while the earbud connector is connected to the main body connector, detect that the earbud connector has disconnected from the main body connector, cease to play sound through the speaker of the main body in response to detecting that the earbud connector has disconnected from the main body connector, and wireless send audio data to the wireless earbud and cause sound to be played through the wireless earbud while the earbud connector is not connected to the main body connector.

COMMUNICATION DEVICE CONTROL WITH EXTERNAL ACCESSORY
20170279950 · 2017-09-28 ·

Disclosed is a communication device (102) that can be hosting a communication application (112) and/or software, such as PTT/VoIP application, which is at least partially controlled and supplemented with payload data by at least one accessory to provide remote UI capabilities, to be used in a communications system as system element, with an UI feature and/or accessory device for communicating commands, signaling data and/or voice/audio data. Also disclosed is an accessory device as a system element of the communications system.

MOBILE DEVICE CONTROL FOR POWERED DOOR

A vehicle door system is disclosed. The system comprises an actuator, at least one communication circuit, and a controller. The actuator is configured to adjust a position of a door. The controller is configured to receive a request for the vehicle to retrieve an occupant via the communication circuit. The controller is further configured to receive an authentication signal via the communication circuit authenticating an identity of the occupant. In response to the authentication, the controller is configured to control the actuator to make the vehicle accessible to the occupant.

Direct selection of audio source

When an indication is received from a user input, a name of an audio source from an ordered list of audio sources to which a headset is currently connected is output. Whenever a successive indication is received within a predefined amount of time, the name of the next wireless audio source in the list is output. If the next wireless audio source in the list is the last wireless audio source in the list, and the successive indication from the user input is received before the elapsed time exceeds the predefined value, the name of the audio source to which the headset is currently connected is output as the next selected wireless audio source in the list. When an amount of time greater than the predefined value elapses without a successive indication from the user input, the last wireless audio source that had its name output is connected.

Systems and methods for handling communications during user operation of a motor vehicle

In one aspect, a system for receiving communications while a user operates a motor vehicle is provided. The system may include (1) a BLUETOOTH interface configured to establish a connection to a BLUETOOTH device associated with the motor vehicle, (2) a wireless communication interface configured to receive a wireless communication from a remote device, and (3) a processor coupled to the wireless communication interface and the BLUETOOTH interface, and configured to: (a) determine the user is operating the motor vehicle based upon the connection to the BLUETOOTH device, and (b) suppress a notification of the user of receipt of the wireless communication while the user is operating the motor vehicle.
