Disclosed herein is an access control apparatus for a barrier movement system that moves a barrier. The access control apparatus includes a near field communications (NFC) module, a radiofrequency (RF) module, and a controller coupled to the NFC module and RF module. The controller is configured to read an NFC signal from an authenticated external device, via the NFC module. In response to reading the NFC signal, the controller transmits a command signal, via the RF module, that commands the barrier movement system to move the barrier.

A device may receive an indication that an ATM transaction is to be conducted, display prompt(s) for a user to input user authentication credential information and to select an ATM transaction type, detect user input(s) that include a user authentication credential and a selection of a particular ATM transaction type, and receive, from an ATM device, a request to establish a communication session. The device may communicatively couple to the ATM device, and provide, to the ATM device, the user authentication credential and data regarding the particular ATM transaction type to cause the ATM device to perform the ATM transaction. The device may display information regarding the ATM transaction.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing near field communications during a low power express mode of an electronic device are provided that may make credentials of a near field communication (“NFC”) component appropriately secure and appropriately accessible while also limiting the power consumption of the NFC component and of other components of the electronic device.

The display apparatus includes a communicator including a circuitry; a display; a motor configured to rotate the display; a memory storing at least one instruction; and a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction to: control the communicator to communicatively connect to an external device based on information related to the display apparatus that is received by the external device from a remote controller to which the external device is tagged, obtain direction information of at least one of the external device and of an image content displayed on the external device, determine, based on the direction information, whether to control the motor to rotate the display, and control the display to display the image content that is received from the external device through the communicator.
