SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GUIDING CARD POSITIONING USING PHONE SENSORS

A position alignment system facilitates positioning of a contactless card in a sweet spot in a target volume relative to a contactless card reading device. Alignment logic uses information captured from available imaging devices such as infrared proximity detectors, cameras, infrared sensors, dot projectors, and the like to guide the card to a target location. The captured image information is processed to identify a card position, trajectory and predicted location using one or both of a machine learning model and/or a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping logic. Trajectory adjustment and prompt identification may be intelligently controlled and customized using machine-learning techniques to customize guidance based on the preference and/or historical behavior of the user. As a result, the speed and accuracy of contactless card alignment is improved and received NFC signal strength is maximized, thereby reducing the occurrence of dropped transactions.

TECHNIQUES FOR CALL AUTHENTICATION

Various embodiments described herein are directed towards authenticating calls by using one or more keys associated with a specific user. In examples, the user is the sender of a call. In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.

MOBILE TERMINAL AND COSMETICS AUTOMATIC RECOGNITION SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a cosmetics automatic recognition system capable of recognizing cosmetics located nearby and recommending a make-up method using the recognized cosmetics. The present invention may comprise a mobile terminal including: an RFID reader unit configured to recognize cosmetics through an RFID tag attached to a cosmetic and receive cosmetic information from the recognized RFID tag and from cosmetics having an RFID tag which stores cosmetic information attached thereto; a control unit configured to generate a cosmetics list consisting of at least one cosmetic recognized by the RFID reader unit; and a display unit configured to display the cosmetics list.

Wireless communication device and method

A Near Field Communication (NFC) reader can wirelessly cooperate with a rectangular prism-shaped transponder having an NFC transponder antenna. The NFC reader includes an NFC controller, a matching network coupled to the NFC controller, and a receptacle capable of at least partially holding the transponder. The receptacle has a bottom wall, a lateral wall and a shape designed such that the transponder cannot be placed in the receptacle in a direction where the NFC transponder antenna is parallel to the bottom wall. The receptacle includes first and second NFC reader antennas located in two non-parallel parts of the lateral wall and a connection coupling the first and second reader antennas to the matching network.

DEVICE FOR LAUNCHING MULTIPLE PEER TO PEER CASHLESS PAYMENT APPLICATIONS ON MOBILE DEVICES
20210012318 · 2021-01-14 · ·

A device includes one or more NFC chips that are preprogrammed to provide a payee's identification and information for launching any of several P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed, to a mobile phone of a payor. When a mobile device of a payor is brought to the vicinity of an NFC chip of the device, the mobile device launches a corresponding P2P cashless payment application. The P2P cashless payment application shows the payee's information and the payor may proceed to make a payment to the payee. The device may include an NFC chip that is preprogrammed to provide the payee's identification and the information for launching a single application on the mobile device of the payor to display the P2P cashless payment applications to which the payee is subscribed. The payor may then proceed to make a payment to the payee using the payor's mobile device.

PORTABLE TERMINAL HAVING A WIRELESS CHARGER COIL AND AN ANTENNA ELEMENT ON THE SAME PLANE

A portable terminal is provided. The portable terminal includes a shielding member attached to an inner surface of an external part, a shielding wall formed on the shielding member, a first coil attached to a surface of the shielding member that faces the inner surface of the external part, and a second coil attached to the surface of the shielding member, with the second coil surrounds the first coil on a same plane and the shielding wall being disposed between the first and second coil.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTELLIGENT ROUTING OF NOTIFICATIONS OF INCOMING VOICE COMMUNICATION REQUESTS

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for intelligent routing of notifications of incoming voice communication requests. A device, such as a smartphone, may receive an incoming voice communication request, such as a cellular voice call. The smartphone may then identify devices connected to it, such as headsets, tablets, etc., and request each device activate a microphone or camera to attempt to locate the user with respect to the connected devices. The smartphone may then select one of the connected devices, or itself, as the device best able to notify the user of the incoming call based on captured audio, images, or video. The smartphone may then request the selected device output a notification, such as a ring tone, to notify the user of the incoming call. Such a technique may avoid inundating the user with simultaneous call notifications from multiple devices.
