Wearable device

A wearable device is provided. A wearable device includes a display assembly having a display component, a network component, and a computing component, at least one reader coupled to the computing component and reading at least one of a barcode or Radio-frequency identification (RFID), a wrist band unit having a first wrist band unit and a second wrist band unit. The first wrist band unit is extended in opposite direction from the second wrist band unit, and accommodates the display assembly. The at least one reader is disposed to face in a tangential direction to a surface of the wrist band unit. The first wrist band unit has an attachment component and the attachment component is detachably attached to at least one of the display assembly and the second wrist band unit.

When a handover is performed, Wi-Fi setting is automatically changed from an inactive state to an active state. In a case where no user operation is performed within a prescribed time period, the Wi-Fi setting is returned from the active state to the inactive state.

MANAGEMENT OF NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS USING A LOW POWER EXPRESS MODE OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing near field communications during a low power express mode of an electronic device are provided that may make credentials of a near field communication (“NFC”) component appropriately secure and appropriately accessible while also limiting the power consumption of the NFC component and of other components of the electronic device.

Wearable device having athletic functionality

A wearable device assembly has a housing supporting a controller, display and indicator system thereon. The controller has at least one sensor wherein activity of a user wearing the device is detected. The controller selectively illuminates the indicator system to indicate a level of activity of the user.

Device reader and means of generating an image therefor

A device reader (101) for receiving data from a separate device (103) comprises a display (205) and a first antenna (105) for receiving data from the separate device. The first antenna (105) has a device reader antenna position relative to the display (205). A display processor (207) displays an image of at least part of the separate device (103) on the display (205). The image has an associated image antenna position corresponding to a position in the image of an antenna (107) in the separate device (103). The image is displayed such that the image antenna position is aligned with the device reader antenna position. The image may be determined from a non-customized image of the separate device (103) by e.g. rotation, scaling and positioning based on a display characteristic of the display (205), such as specifically a size, resolution or pixel-size. The approach may facilitate a user in aligning a device with a device reader when using short-range communication, such as e.g. NFC communication.

Mobile terminal including charging coil and wireless communication coil, wireless charging module including charging coil and wireless communication coil

A mobile terminal is provided with a housing, a circuit substrate, a secondary-side non-contact charging module, and a heat dissipating sheet. The circuit substrate comprises a substrate, an electronic component that is mounted to the substrate, and a shield case that covers the electronic component. The heat dissipation sheet is in contact with the shield case.

Connector module with internal wireless communication device

A connector module includes a signal interface, a wireless communication module and a connector housing. The signal interface is configured to exchange signals between a cable and a communication unit when the connector module is connected to the communication unit. The wireless communication module is configured to exchange information in a first mode between the communication unit and a wireless terminal when the connector module is connected to the communication unit, and, when the connector module is disconnected from the communication unit, to exchange information in a second between a memory internal to the connector module and the wireless terminal mode. The connector housing contains the signal interface and the wireless communication module.

Battery management scheme for NFC

There is described a method for establishing an NFC connection between a subscriber identity module (SIM) and an NFC device (RDR). The subscriber identity module (SIM) is connected to a telecommunications system (CELL_P) through contacts (VCC, RST, CLK, D+, GND, SWP, IO, D−) of the telecommunications system (CELL_P). The telecommunications system (CELL_P) comprises a chipset (CHP) and an NFC circuit (NFCC). The method comprises measuring the level of charge of a battery (BATT) powering the telecommunications system (CELL_P) with a battery gauge. Based on the measurement, the method selects the source for supplying power to the subscriber identity module (SIM) and configures the wiring of the subscriber identity module (SIM). The disclosure also relates, in particular, to a telecommunications system, to a computer program, and to a storage medium.
