MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A mobile terminal includes: a terminal body provided with a case having at least one hole; a gas sensor module disposed near the case, and configured to sense specific gas by air introduced through the hole; and a controller configured to set a type of gas to be sensed based on an activated specific function, and to control the gas sensor module to sense the gas.
Automatically accessing an internet session using transferred network login information
Enhancements of and to cell phone operations are based in whole or in part on determining the location of the cell phone. Systems and methods select and determine locations or areas of importance or relevance, and based on that information and other programmed factors affect or alter the operations of the cell phone. While the systems and methods are illustrated by use of cell phone embodiments and applications, they are equally applicable to virtually any portable or mobile communication device, including for example, wireless laptop computers and PDAs.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING GEOLOCATION SERVICES
The present invention provides a system for providing geolocation services in a mobile-based crowdsourcing platform. The system includes a plurality of remote mobile devices configured to communicate and exchange data with a geolocation service based on the crowdsourcing, or polling, of users of such mobile devices to determine location and movement of the users within a specific environment. For example, in an outdoor environment such as a parking lot, the system can track the location of a user's vehicle within the lot and provide the user with an exact position of their vehicle upon the user returning to the parking lot. In the instance of an indoor environment, such as an airport, the system provides a messaging/location alert service for persons within the airport, where any given person's location within the airport can be determined and correlated with an impending departure of a flight for which they are associated.
Proximity-enhanced reconfiguration of telephone ring list
Proximity of a user/device to a designated location or other user/device can be determined and used to trigger automatic reconfiguration of a telephone ring list associated with the user/device. Accordingly, there is no need for manual reconfiguration to accommodate changes in the user's location or schedule. Specific phone numbers may be added or removed from a user's ring list based on proximity information, and the ring list may be reconfigured as the user arrives at or departs from a designated location. The user's desired phones will automatically ring for incoming calls based on the ring list and/or an identification of the incoming call.
System for limiting mobile phone distraction in motor vehicles and / or within fixed locations
A system that utilizes a remote device that is capable of transmitting speed, velocity, instantaneous velocity, angular velocity, acceleration, deceleration or other means of data to wirelessly notify a mobile handset that the vehicle is in motion or is traveling at a speed, velocity, instantaneous velocity, angular velocity, acceleration, deceleration greater than zero without using the cellular signal, gps data, or on board diagnostic computer or other direct or indirect link to vehicle mechanical, electrical mechanical or computer derived speed data. This system, or an embodiment thereof shall be universally compatible with all vehicles including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, busses, trains, airplanes, boats, construction equipment or otherwise where it is desirable to limit distractions from a personal communication device.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ASSOCIATING MAPPING FUNCTIONALITY AND INFORMATION IN CONTACT LISTS OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICES
Displaying a map in a mobile communication device. Geographic coordinate information for a location of an address in a contact is determined. A user context for the mobile communications device is also determined. A request for a table of contents of available map data without the map data with the geographic coordinate information of the location as input is sent and the table of contents of available map data is received. A subset of map data comprising less data than is listed in the table of contents for the location corresponding to the geographic coordinate information is selected based on the table of contents of available map data and the user context. The subset of the map data is requested and the map with the subset of the map data is caused to be rendered in the display.
Dynamic voicemail receptionist system
A voicemail receptionist system includes a memory and a processor. The memory can store data relating to one or more users. An incoming communication can be handled by the voicemail receptionist system and provided with functionality based upon a user's preferences, for example. The data stored by the voicemail receptionist system can be updated at any time, or automatically updated upon updating of the data, or upon occurrence of a trigger event. Voicemail receptionist functionality can include standard voicemail system functionality as well as functionality relating to email, text messaging, MMS messaging, calendar features, schedule announcements, location data, as well as other features.
Restricting mobile device usage
Systems and methods are provided for selectively restricting a mobile device. In one implementation, a visual capture can be to identify one or more indicators within the visual capture. Based on the indicators, an implementation of a restriction at the mobile device can be adjusted. In another implementation inputs can be processed to compute a determination, determination reflecting at least one of the in-vehicle role of the user as a driver and the in-vehicle role of the user as a passenger; and, an operation state of the mobile device can be modified based on such a determination. According to another implementation, one or more outputs can be projected from a mobile device, inputs can be received, and such inputs and outputs can be processed to determine a correlation between them. A restriction can then be modified based on the correlation.
USER EQUIPMENT SERVICE MANAGEMENT
The present application relates to service management at a user equipment (UE). The described aspects include determining whether at least one activated service satisfies a termination condition based on detecting that a service deactivation triggering condition has been met. The described aspects further include determining whether the at least one activated service was activated based on an indication received from an interface unit of the UE based on determining that the at least one activated services satisfies the termination condition. Additionally, the described aspects include terminating operation of the at least one activated service based on determining that the at least one activated service satisfies the termination condition and the at least one service was not activated by the interface unit between the application and the at least one activated service.
