EMERGENCY PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH MOBILE DEVICES
A mobile device includes a camera unit, a location unit, a transmitting unit, a self-defense mechanism, and a panic button. The camera unit location unit obtains at least one of image data and audio data, and the location unit obtains location data. The transmitting unit transmits at least one of the image data, the audio data, the location data, and specific information including owner identification information. The panic button is adapted to activate the camera, the location unit, the transmitting unit, and the self-defense mechanism.
Systems and Methods to Generate a Location Dependent Alert in a Mobile Device of a User
A mobile device having a position determination device and a mobile application configured, in response to the location of the mobile device determined by the position determination device, to: predict a transaction based at least in part on the location of the mobile device; select, based at least in part on the location of the mobile device, a first account for the transaction from a plurality of accounts identified by the identification information; and provide, via the user interface, an alert identifying the first account, before a user of the mobile device begins to make the transaction. The prediction can be made based on a location pattern relative to the location of a transaction terminal and/or the detection of short-range wireless signals of the transaction terminal.
Mobile terminal with call function or texting function, or a function as a game terminal, game program and game method executed by mobile terminal
The present invention provides a mobile terminal with a call function or a texting function. The present invention controls the use of a mobile terminal by a manual operation because of an incoming call during movement. Location information indicating movement of a mobile terminal with a call or a message data exchange function is received by a GPS receiver, the distance and the movement speed are determined by using the measurement information of the two locations at every predetermined time, and whether or not the mobile terminal is moving in accordance with the movement speed is determined by a movement determination unit. When it is determined by the movement determination unit that the mobile terminal is moving, the display of incoming call information indicating an incoming call is set to non-displayed on the display unit, and at the same time, a notification sound from a speaker, etc. is invalid.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCIDENT NOTIFICATION
This disclosure relates to systems and methods for summoning emergency personnel to assist a user associated with a portable device. A system can include a processor that can access non-transitory memory and execute machine readable instructions stored therein. The machine readable instructions can cause the processor to receive an assistance request generated by the portable device. The request can include location information for the portable device. The machine readable instructions can further cause the processor to transmit an assistance summons request to one or more selected devices that the user is need of assistance, receive a confirmation message generated by at least one of the one or more selected devices confirming that the user associated with the portable device is need of the assistance, and transmit one or more notification messages to summon the emergency personnel for the user.
Method and device for verifying diffractive elements
The invention relates to a method for authenticating a diffractive element, e.g., a hologram, on an object or document (2), wherein at least two images of the diffractive element are recorded by means of a portable device (1). The recordings are taken in different spatial orientations of the portable device in relation to the diffractive element. Recording data are created from the images and the associated spatial orientations. The recording data are electronically compared with reference data. The comparison can be performed locally or in a server-based manner.
Terminal device
The present invention provide a terminal device, including: at least one sensor, a data processing unit, a memory, a CPU, and a storage, where the sensor is configured to sense a corresponding measured object and generate corresponding sensing data; and the data processing unit is configured to collect the sensing data jointly with the CPU in a mutually complementary manner, store the collected sensing data in the memory, perform feature extraction on the sensing data stored in the memory, and store extracted feature data in the storage, where the mutually complementary manner refers to that, when one of the data processing unit and the CPU is in a working state, the other is in a dormant state. The terminal device provided by the embodiments of the present invention can improve a utilization rate of the CPU.
Remote vehicle rental systems and methods
A system for renting vehicles is disclosed. The system can comprise a vehicle access communicator (“VAC”) capable of interfacing with one or more functions of a rental vehicle and a user provided portable electronic device. The VAC can control various functions of the vehicle including, but not limited to, the door locks and/or enabling/disabling the vehicle. The VAC can also monitor various functions of the vehicle including, but not limited to, the fuel level and/or the odometer readings. The VAC can connect to the portable electronic device using a suitable connection method to access additional functionality such as, for example and not limitation, locations services, cellular, and/or internet access. The VAC and the portable electronic device can be used to provide a rental system with reduced infrastructure and operating costs. The system can enable the use of “Green Zones” to provide permanent or temporary vehicle rental areas.
Direction assistance based on personal experience
A device accesses not only an electronic map to provide directions on the device, but also accesses personal experience information of a user to augment the directions.
Mobile device inhibitor
To block calls and other mobile device network activities in a vehicle while the vehicle is being operated, a vehicle cellphone inhibitor system is provided. A femtocell device can be provided to reroute communications between a cellular network and the mobile device through the femtocell device. The vehicle cellphone inhibitor system can selectively block calls or other network operations on the mobile device that are routed through the femtocell device on the mobile device while leaving the mobile device otherwise operational. The blocking can be activated whenever the vehicle is moving, which can be determined via GPS, accelerometers, or a connection via the vehicle's electronic control unit (“ECU”) utilizing vehicle data to determine whether the vehicle is in motion or being operated.
Power delay profile based indoor outdoor detection
A detector in a mobile device receives input from a modem, determines whether the mobile device is indoor or outdoor based on the modem-supplied input, and stores in memory a binary value to indicate an indoor-outdoor state. In some embodiments, the detector extracts a feature from the modem-supplied input, and uses the extracted feature with a statistical classifier, to output an indoor-outdoor state and an associated probability of correctness of the indoor-outdoor state. In other embodiments, the detector determines whether the mobile device is indoor or outdoor based at least on the feature extracted to characterize temporal distribution of the wireless signal, by using a prior value of the state being indoor or outdoor.
