DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device including: a first elastic member, a display portion disposed on the first elastic member; and a sensing material layer disposed between the first elastic member and the display portion, wherein the display portion including a first island pattern, a second island pattern, and a slit, wherein the first island pattern and the second island pattern are spaced apart from each other with the slit therebetween, and each of the first island pattern and the second island pattern includes a pixel, and wherein the sensing material layer overlaps the slit.
Portable multifunction device, method, and graphical user interface supporting user navigations of graphical objects on a touch screen display
A portable multifunction device displays a first user interface object and a second user interface object on a touch screen display. Upon detecting a finger-down event at the first user interface object and one or more finger-dragging events on the touch screen display, the device moves the first user interface object on the touch screen display along a path determined by the finger-dragging events until the first user interface object at least in part overlaps the second user interface object. Upon detecting a finger-up event at the second user interface object, the device visually replaces the second user interface object with the first user interface object.
Information processing using a population of data acquisition devices
Distributed systems, controllers and methods for processing information from a plurality of devices are provided. A distributed system includes a plurality of devices distributed in an environment. Each device has at least a communication capability for interchanging information with others of the devices and/or with a communication system. Each of at least some of the devices has one or more sensors for acquiring sensor data related to the environment proximate to the device. At least one of the communication system or one or more of the devices is configured as a controller configured to: select a subset of devices from among the plurality of devices, receive information based on the acquired sensor data of the selected subset, and combine the received information from the selected subset to determine a characteristic of the environment proximate to one or more of the devices.
Smart Screen Rotation Based on Facial Analysis
Methods and systems for rotating elements displayed by computing devices are described herein. At least one image of a user of a computing device may be captured by a camera of the computing device. An angle of the eyes of the user with respect to the computing device may be determined. Based on that determined angle, at least one element of content displayed by the computing device may be rotated so as to allow for display of that element in an orientation consumable by the user. For example, the element might be rotated at an angle corresponding to the angle of the eyes of the user with respect to the orientation of the computing device.
Terminal device
A terminal device mainly includes: a display module (21), a middle frame (22) for fixing the display module (21), a light-guiding column (23) embedded on the middle frame (22), and an ambient light sensor (24) located at bottom of the light-guiding column (23), wherein a light-entry surface of the light-guiding column (23) guides ambient light to the ambient light sensor (24).
Display control method and apparatus
A display control method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, orientations and display statuses of a first screen and a second screen; determining, by the terminal, whether a trigger event used for adjusting the display statuses of the first screen and the second screen occurs; and when the trigger event occurs, displaying, by the terminal, adjusted display content on the first screen and the second screen based on the orientations and the display statuses of the first screen and the second screen. By obtaining an orientation and a display status of a terminal screen, when the trigger event occurs, the terminal can adjust the display status of the screen in a timely manner, so that a user can perform an interaction operation and interaction display between different screens.
Activating a connected flight mode
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for determining, by a mobile computing device while a cellular connection mode remains activated and a second wireless connection mode remains activated, that a sensor of the mobile computing device has detected information indicating that the mobile computing device is located on an airplane. The mobile computing device transitions, in response to having determined that the sensor has detected information indicating that the mobile computing device is located on the airplane, the mobile computing device into a connected flight mode, including by terminating the cellular connection mode while allowing the second wireless connection mode to remain activated.
Systems, devices, and methods of manipulating audio data based on display orientation
An electronic device includes sensors configured to detect an orientation of a display, driver logic, and a speaker array. The driver logic processes the audio data received by an interface to form audio output data, and forms driver signals representing the audio output data based on the orientation of the display detected by the one or more sensors. The speaker array receives the driver signals formed orientation of the display, and renders the audio output data for playback based on the driver signals.
PROGRAMMABLE MULTIFUNCTION PH MEASUREMENT SYSTEM BASED ON MOBILE COMMUNICATION
A pH measurement system includes a measurement apparatus that is capable of connection to a mobile device and a server and that includes a measuring instrument and a monitoring device. The measuring instrument includes a tube, and a sensor rod that is disposed is the tube and that is for sensing a pH value of a measurement target. The monitoring device includes a microcontroller communicatively connected to the sensor rod, an operation module for operation by a user, a communication module for communication with the mobile device and the server, and a display module for displaying information. The microcontroller provides the pH value to the mobile device or the server through the communication module.
Restrictions on mobile device usage when driving a vehicle
Disclosed are various embodiments for restricting usage of a mobile device when a user is driving a vehicle. In one embodiment, it is determined that a mobile device is in use by a driver of an active vehicle. A functionality of the mobile device is then restricted based at least in part on determining that the mobile device is in use by the driver of the active vehicle. For example, a touch screen of the mobile device may be disabled, and the use of a hands-free interface may be made mandatory.
