CARD CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY HAVING A CARD TARY WITH A LATCH
20170207558 · 2017-07-20 ·

A card connector assembly includes: an electrical connector for being mounted behind an opening in a housing of an electronic device, the electrical connector including a cam groove, a slider, a biasing member, and a cam bar coupled between the cam groove and the slider; and a card tray insertable into the electrical connector through the housing opening for moving the slider from the ejected position to the inserted position; wherein the cam bar has a push portion; the card tray includes a latch, the latch being adapted to be stopped by the electronic device housing when the slider is at the inserted position; and when pushing the card tray to move the slider from the inserted position to the ejected position, the push portion of the cam bar releases the latch for the slider together with the card tray to move to the ejected position.

Hybridized client-server speech recognition
09674328 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A recipient computing device can receive a speech utterance to be processed by speech recognition and segment the speech utterance into two or more speech utterance segments, each of which can be to one of a plurality of available speech recognizers. A first one of the plurality of available speech recognizers can be implemented on a separate computing device accessible via a data network. A first segment can be processed by the first recognizer and the results of the processing returned to the recipient computing device, and a second segment can be processed by a second recognizer implemented at the recipient computing device.

SETTLEMENT TERMINAL DEVICE

A settlement terminal device according to the present invention includes: a first information processor that is placed in a housing which is gripped by an operator, and is provided with a first user interface (first touch panel) on one surface (operation display surface) of the housing; a secured second information processor that is placed in the housing, and is provided with a tamper-resistant second user interface (second touch panel), which can perform a securable operation, on one surface of the housing; and one light transmitting member (surface panel) that is disposed to cover a surface of the first user interface and a surface of the second user interface.

Ejectable component assemblies in electronic devices

Electronic devices are provided with ejectable component assemblies. Each ejectable component assembly may include a tray that can be loaded with one or more types of removable module, such as a mini-SIM card and a micro-SIM card, and inserted into the device. Each assembly may also include a cover coupled to a circuit board. The tray may be inserted through an opening in the electronic device and into a space between the cover and the circuit board. A portion of the space is contained within the pocket. A portion of the tray may be contained within the pocket when the tray is inserted into the device for holding the module at a functional insertion position within the device.

MULTI-PURPOSE TRAY IN A MOBILE DEVICE

A mobile device can include a support frame adapted to support one or more electronic components of the mobile device. The mobile device includes a chassis shell adapted to form an exterior of the mobile device. The mobile device can include a tray exposed on the exterior and having at least two functional components of the mobile device attached thereon serving at least two different functions (e.g., an electronic function, an input or output function, and/or a mechanical function to support a permanent or temporary component). The chassis shell exposes one of the functional components on the exterior. The tray is capable of sliding outward to further expose the other one of the functional components.

CONJOINING FUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS OF A MOBILE DEVICE

A mobile device can include electronic circuitry and a chassis shell adapted to protect the electronic circuitry. The chassis shell includes an opening exposing a tray inside the mobile device. The tray can include an external card slot and a patterned wall. The tray can be disposed within a cavity of a support structure of the mobile device. An input/output (I/O) component, such as a speaker, and a card reader can also be disposed within the cavity. The I/O component can communicate via at least a hole in the patterned wall (e.g., a speaker grill).

A SIM card connector includes a base, signal spring, a detection apparatus, and a controller. The detection apparatus includes a fixed contact and a detection spring. An action of a SIM card can be detected by means of separation or union between the fixed contact and the detection spring. A trigger part of the detection spring can press against a surface of the SIM card to move a movable end of the detection spring. A power supply of the signal spring can be cut off before the SIM card is separated from the signal spring, and the power supply of the signal spring can be switched on after the SIM card presses against the signal spring.

Wireless communication accessory for a mobile device
