Techniques to provide physical transaction card capabilities for a device
Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques to enable use of a transaction card of a user device to perform transactions. Embodiments may include method, techniques, and circuitry to cause a transaction card to extend from a user device to be used to perform the transactions. Further, the transaction card may retract into the housing the user device when not in use.
Techniques for call authentication
Various embodiments described herein are directed towards authenticating calls by using one or more keys associated with a specific user. In examples, the user is the sender of a call. In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.
Electronic device including component tray
According to certain embodiments, an electronic device includes a housing including a front plate, a rear plate facing in an direction opposite to that of the front plate, and a side member enclosing a space between the front plate and the rear plate, wherein the side member includes a through hole for insertion of an external object; and a flexible member attached to an inner surface of the side member and configured to block at least a portion of the through hole and configured to permit an external object to bend the flexible member, thereby allowing the external object to enter the through hole.
Apparatus with Dual Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Interfaces
In accordance with some embodiments, an apparatus for privacy protection is provided. The apparatus includes a housing arranged to hold a personal communication device, a first subscriber identity module (SIM) interface, a second SIM interface, a personal communication device interface, and a controller. A portion of the personal communication device interface is shaped to mate with a SIM slot of the personal communication device, and the personal communication device interface includes a SIM emulator operable to couple the second SIM interface to the SIM slot of the personal communication device. Through operation of the personal communication device interface, the controller is operable to selectively couple one of the first SIM interface and the second SIM interface to the SIM slot of the personal communication device.
Card Tray Opening/Closing Mechanism, Card Tray, Mobile Phone, And Card Tray Opening/Closing Method
A card tray opening/closing mechanism, used for shifting a card in or out of a slot of a mobile phone body. The card tray opening/closing mechanism comprises a transmission assembly and a micro motor; the micro motor is fixedly connected in the mobile phone body, and is used for communicationally connecting to the mobile phone body. The micro motor is connected to the transmission assembly; the transmission assembly is used for connecting to the card tray body; and the micro motor can shift the card tray body in or out of the slot by means of the transmission assembly.
Compact ejectable component assemblies in electronic devices
Electronic devices are provided with ejectable component assemblies. The ejectable component assembly may include a tray that can be loaded with one or more removable modules, wafers coupled to circuit boards, cages and retaining plates to assist in retaining the tray within the assembly. The ejectable component assembly may include springs operative to engage detents in the tray to retain the tray in the assembly. The ejectable component assembly may include a tray ejector mechanism for ejecting the tray from the assembly.
SLIDING MECHANISM AND TERMINAL DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SAME
A sliding mechanism applicable in a terminal device includes: a sliding plate and a fixed plate arranged in a stacked way, wherein the sliding plate is provided with a slide rail on both sides in a sliding direction; a guide side of the fixed plate is accommodated in the slide rail, enabling the sliding plate to slide along the fixed plate; the guide side is provided with a guide rail protruding toward the slide rail, and the slide rail is provided with an elastic element, the elastic element sliding along the guide rail and being deformed; a gap is provided between the sliding plate and the fixed plate, and position stopping elements are correspondingly arranged on the fixed plate and at least one of the sliding plate or the slide rail, and configured to stop the sliding plate at a starting point and an ending point of sliding.
Method of identifying a person based on a biometric identifier
A mobile, wireless biometric identification system includes a biometric capture device which enables a smartphone, using a commercially established wireless communication networks, to capture a digital image of a human biometric (iris, fingerprint, etc.) for transmission to a central server. The biometric capture device captures a high quality image for encoding and comparison, while the overall system leverages the existing cellular communication network. The device can be used as an interface to medical databases and devices used to diagnose and treat patients.
Chip card fixing assembly and electronic device with same
A chip card fixing assembly is received inside a charging interface of an electronic device for fixing a chip card inside the charging interface. The chip card fixing assembly includes a resisting assembly including at least one pushing member and a securing member including at least one fixing portion. The at least one fixing portion and the at least one pushing member cooperatively define a securing space therebetween for fixing the chip card.
DUAL SIM CARD CONNECTOR
A dual subscriber identity module (SIM) card connector is provided that includes a lower connector housing portion having a bottom surface and an upper connector housing portion having a top surface. The upper connector housing portion is coupled to the lower connector housing portion to define an opening for a receiving space between the upper and lower connector housing portions. The opening and receiving space are sized and shaped to slidably receive a SIM card tray.
