DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL VIDEO COMMUNICATION
20170295357 · 2017-10-12 · ·

A three-dimensional (3D) communication device includes a 3D stereoscopic camera for capturing video and photos in 3D. The device also includes a 3D display, which enables the display of video and photos in 3D that have been captured by a local user's communication device or that have been received from a remote 3D communication device. The 3D communication device may be configured as a handheld standalone device or may alternatively be configured as a modular device, a case, or a dock that can be interfaced with a portable computing device, such as a smart phone, which lacks the capability to capture and view 3D video/photo content. As such, the 3D communication device enables 3D chat or communication between a local user and one or more remote users of the 3D communication device or any other computing device that is configured with suitable communication or chat software.

A portable communication device for multimedia applications including upper and lower parts connected by a joint element for moving the parts relative to each other between closed and various open positions. The upper part includes a display which is on the outside of the closed device. The joint element enables pivoting the upper part along a horizontal axis disposed below the plane of the display in a position that is shifted parallel outward or inward relative to the upper part as well as rotational motion of the parts relative to each other about a rotational axis which is tilted relative to the plane of the display, the motion being made when the rotational axis comes to a position perpendicular to the horizontal axis as a result of the pivoting motion. Optimum display and keypad size for PC use, slimmer design, and additional space for multimedia components are attained.

Mobile terminal

A mobile terminal including a first housing defining an accommodation space therein and having an opening defined therein in communication with the outside; a camera configured to obtain image information; and a driving unit configured to rotationally drive the camera to rotate and be inserted inside the first housing through the opening and to face a first face of the mobile terminal, and rotationally drive the camera to rotate and be withdrawn outside the first housing through the opening and to face a second face of the mobile terminal.

A remote selfie system is disclosed. A control mobile computing system is communicatively coupled to an imaging mobile computing system having a digital imaging functionality. Commands are exchanged to allow the control mobile computing system to remotely control the digital imaging functionality of the imaging mobile computing system. The control mobile computing system receives a digital image to be captured by the digital imaging functionality of the imaging mobile computing system. The control mobile computing system send commands to the imaging mobile computing system to capture a digital image.

MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A mobile terminal including a wireless communication processor configured to provide wireless communication; a display; a first camera configured to capture a still image and a second camera configured to capture a video image at overlapping capturing times in a preset simultaneous shooting mode; and a controller configured to in response to a preset user input, generate a composite image including the still image captured by the first camera and the video image captured by the second camera, and display the composite image on the display.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR ENFORCING DO NOT DISTURB FUNCTIONALITY ON MOBILE DEVICES
20220053081 · 2022-02-17 ·

Technologies disclosed herein are directed to enforcing blocking functionality on a mobile device (e.g., a mobile device within a vehicle). The mobile device receives a request to disable a blocking of a user interaction with one or more functions of the mobile device. The mobile device prompts a capture of an image by a camera of the mobile device. The mobile device determines whether the image is captured from a passenger space in the vehicle. Once so determined, the mobile device disables the blocking of the user interaction with the one or more functions of the mobile device.
