A wireless device includes a processor, a memory, a wireless interface, and a voice interface. The processor is configured to select a language for the voice interface by detecting a second wireless device, establishing ongoing communications with the second wireless device, identifying a language used by a user interface of the second wireless device, and configuring the voice interface to use the same language as the user interface of the second wireless device.

A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computing system is provided for managing quality of experience for communication sessions. In an implementation, a method may include determining a language spoken on a communication session. The method may also include selecting a codec for the communication session based upon, at least in part, the language spoken on the communication session. The method may further include transacting the communication session using the selected codec for the communication session.

In one scenario, a computer system sends a synchronization request to receive a current contact list that includes a user's contacts. The computer system receives both a synchronized contact list and a locale-specific jump list, which includes jump header sort keys that indicate the relative sorting position of each jump header. The computer system receives a user input indicating that the user has selected a specified jump header and intends to jump to a specified point in the contact list. The computer system then jumps to the user-specified point in the contact list using the jump header sort key that corresponds to the selected jump header in the locale-specific jump list and displays the contact list to the user at the selected jump header that was jumped to using the jump header sort key.

The present invention includes a display unit, a microphone, a sensing unit configured to detect a gesture, and a controller configured to convert voice data, received based on the microphone, to a text in a first language, detect, using the sensing unit, a first gesture, and in response to detecting the first gesture, translate the text in the first language to text in a second language.

A method and apparatus in which multiple Internet Protocol (IP) based wireless data transmissions are simultaneously provided between a wireless device and a server, including providing multiple antennas, multiple T/R units, multiple processors and multiple I/O ports on the wireless device. A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving an update package from a wireless service provider that includes information indicating that multiple language versions of an update are included in the update package. Based on the information, the method further specifies an update associated with a language from the update package, and transmits the update associated with the language to a wireless device.
