METHOD FOR INVOKING CAPABILITY OF ANOTHER DEVICE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND SYSTEM
Example methods and apparatus for invoking a capability of a device are described. One example system comprises a first electronic device and a second electronic device, and the first electronic device has a first function. In one example method, the first electronic device detects a first operations of a use, and sends request information to the second electronic device in response to the first operation, wherein the request information is used to request first image information on the second electronic device. The second electronic device sends the first image information to the second electronic device in response to the request information. The first electronic device processes the first image information by using the first function.
Network based speech to speech translation
A method, performed on a server, of translating between languages includes receiving first audio data for a first language from a mobile device, translating the first audio data to second audio data for a second language, receiving an indication that the mobile device has moved between two locations, and sending the second audio data to the mobile device in response to the indication.
Out of the box experience (OOBE) country choice using Wi-Fi layer transmission
Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to methods and systems for determining the language presented by a mobile communication device operable for use in a plurality of different countries during an activation process on the mobile communication device. Methods may comprise receiving information from beacon(s) of one or more wireless access points to determine the presented language.
MULTIPLE USER SPEECH TRANSLATION
An improved translation experience is provided by a system that listens for speech input spoken in a first language or a second language; receives, in response to the listening for the speech input, first speech input spoken in the first language; determines that the first speech input is spoken in the first language; and generates and presents, in association with the receiving of the first speech input, a translation of the first speech input in the second language. The system also detects an endpoint in the first speech input, and, in response to detecting the endpoint, listens for additional speech input spoken in the first language or in the second language. Corresponding systems, methods, and media are also disclosed.
Method and apparatus of processing caller responses
Disclosed is a method, apparatus, system and non-transitory computer program product configured to process user call responses and assign caller specific preferences to the user based on the caller's feedback. One example method of processing spoken words from a user of a calling platform may include operations, such as calling a user via a call processing device, and sending a call prompt message to the user after the user has answered the call, the call prompt message soliciting a user response. The user may respond and the response is received as a spoken call greeting from the user in response to the call prompt message. Other operations may include recording the spoken call greeting, and determining whether the spoken call greeting is indicative of a language preference. The system may process the user's word or utterances and assign language preferences to the user based on the user provided information.
Method and devices for language determination for voice to text transcription of phone calls
Methods, and devices and systems, for example an answering machine system, are provided for determining a language among a plurality of languages available for a voice to text transcription of phone calls between a caller and a recipient. In the method, at least two of said available languages are proposed to the caller. The proposed languages are based on a phone country code corresponding to said caller, a phone country code corresponding to said recipient, a language from a set of languages available for the transcription by said answering machine system, or a language selected automatically on the basis of parameters set by the caller or the recipient. The caller selects said language by interacting with said answering machine system, and a corresponding voice message is transcribed into text of the selected language for forwarding to said recipient.
System configurations to determine user data associated with mobile applications
Various systems, mediums, and methods may determine one or more configurations associated with a provider application. For example, a mobile system may determine a request to install a provider application, possibly based on one or more user inputs received by the mobile system. The mobile system may determine other applications installed on the mobile system. The mobile system may determine one or more configurations of the provider application based on the other applications installed. As such, the mobile system may install the provider application to the mobile system based on the one or more configurations determined.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INFORMATION GATHERING, MANAGING AND DISSEMINATING FOR ASSESSMENTS AND NOTIFICATIONS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTS
An information exchange system is configured to improve an operation of a computing device to enable a public safety agency to exchange information with a citizen on a mobile communication exchange device in a language understood by the citizen. The system includes a storage media configured to implement a database of information. The information of the database includes mobile device information, citizen information and event information. The computing device is configured to enable mobile device communication including text message communication between the citizen and the public safety agency, conduct an exchange between the citizen and the public safety agency, including text message exchanges, and enable, both of the system user of the public safety agency and the citizen to translate a message of the exchange from one language to another prior to transmission or receipt when the system user and the citizen do not regularly communicate in a common language.
Using auxiliary device case for translation
An auxiliary device charging case is used to facilitate translation features of a mobile computing device or auxiliary device. A first user, who may be a foreign language speaker, holds the charging case and speaks into the charging case. The charging case communicates the received speech to the mobile computing device, either directly or through the auxiliary device, which translates the received speech into a second language for a second user, who is the owner of the mobile computing device and auxiliary device. The second user may provide input in the second language, such as by speaking or typing into the auxiliary or mobile computing device. The mobile computing device may translate this second input to the first language, and transmit the translated input to the charging case either directly or through the auxiliary device. The charging case may output the translated second input to the first user, such as through a speaker or display screen.
LANGUAGE INPUT PRESETS FOR MESSAGING
Conversation-based context rules for altering virtual reality (VR) gaming and for switching between input languages based on heuristics related to past conversations between users.
