According to an embodiment, there is provided an electronic device comprising: a memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: generate state information regarding a device state of the electronic device of a first user and communication information regarding communications of the first user with a second user; transmitting the state information and the communication information to a server or an electronic device of the second user, wherein the state information and the communication information are used to determine communication availability of the first user and to provide the second user with information regarding the communication availability of the first user.

According to one embodiment, a method includes receiving an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device; determining a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated; and providing to a user, via the mobile phone device, an option to perform a phone number search to determine a name associated with the phone number from which the incoming phone call originated.

Apparatuses and methods concerning routing of calls in an IPBX server are disclosed. A first processing circuit is communicatively coupled to an IPBX server that routes VoIP calls for a plurality of end-users having respective VoIP-enabled devices and generates call event messages for the routed calls. The first processing circuit generates call summary metrics from the call event messages. A second processing circuit evaluates the call summary metrics to identify a set of incoming calls to the IPBX that were missed and have not been returned by the end-users. The second processing circuit cross-correlates the identified set of incoming calls with a secondary data source to determine a respective priorities for the set of incoming calls. The second processing circuit stores data indicating calls of the identified set have a higher priority.

In an aspect, an apparatus displays a media, receives a selection of a person displayed in the media, identifies the selected person, displays communication methods that may be used to communicate with the identified person, receives a selection of one of the communication methods, and engages in a communication with the identified person using the selected communication method.

To ensure privacy, the processor is capable of receiving a pseudo identifier from a proximate communication device and then requesting an actual identification correlated with the pseudo identifier of the proximate communication device.

A method for processing contact information includes displaying a list of contacts on a display of a wireless terminal, determining a first contact from the list of contacts in response to a selection of a user, obtaining a web log address and an online shop address of the first contact, obtaining, from a network service, a first content corresponding to the web log address and the online shop address of the first contact, and displaying the first content on a first area of the display, where the first content is dynamically updated.

A method and apparatus for storing a telephone number in a portable terminal. An example method of suggesting contacts in a communications routing system includes: routing, via a routing engine, communications events between a communications device and a plurality of further communications devices coupled to the communications routing system as VoIP calls using respective VoIP telephone numbers; storing, for a user account associated with the communications device, a contact database representing VoIP telephone numbers stored in a contact tracking application of the communications device; storing, in the contact database for the user account, a log of communications events including a record for each new telephone number; and when the record for a new telephone number satisfies a threshold condition, providing a prompt, at the communications device, to add the new telephone number to the contact tracking application.

The user interface accounts for a headset is available for use to carry on a call.
