ATTACHING MULTIPLE PHONE LINES TO A SINGLE MOBILE OR LANDLINE PHONE
Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.
Communications Path Selection in User Equipment
Architecture that allows a user to control the way a connection is made to a destination is described. A destination can be tagged with an attribute that defines how the connection to that destination should be routed. For example, a phone address book allows the user not only to enter the usual call recipient information such as name and telephone number, but also to add an attribute in the form of a network identifier associated with a network to be used when connecting to the destination. Where multiple networks are associated with the destination, the phone subsystem, recognizing that the destination now has multiple network IDs for connecting the call, can prompt the user to select the desired network pathway. The user can also tag the destination with a protocol that should be employed. Thus, not only will the phone be connected according to the network, but also the protocol.
METHOD FOR MANAGING THE RECEPTION OF A TELEPHONE CALL ON A CALLED COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
The subject of the present invention is a method for managing the reception of a telephone call signal on a communication terminal, with a view to the establishment of a telephone link, said telephone link being established by way of a server, said called communication terminal being able to receive the telephone call signal according to at least two modes, comprising a voice mode, in which the telephone link between the called communication terminal and the server is ensured by way of a telephone communication network, and a data mode, in which the telephone link between the called communication terminal and the server is ensured by way of a network for data communication according to a Voice over IP technology, said method comprising the direct selection, by the user of the method, of the mode of establishment of the telephone link. The method comprising the allocating by a call server of a temporary number to the calling communication terminal.
Apparatus and method for a communication network
Embodiments of the invention relate to an apparatus, and method for a communication network. Certain embodiments provide an apparatus comprising: a first reader configured to read a user insertable integrated circuit configured to identify a user in a communications network; a second reader configured to read a user insertable integrated circuit configured to identify a user in a communications network; at least one memory storing computer program instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the computer program instructions to cause the apparatus at least to perform: generating a control signal responsive to removal of an integrated circuit from the second reader.
Method and apparatus for controlling lock/unlock state of terminal through voice recognition
A method for controlling a terminal through a voice input is provided. The method includes receiving a voice input when the terminal is in a state in which the terminal is locked and performing an operation corresponding to the voice input if the voice input corresponds to a preset command.

Dual subscriber identity module (SIM) card adapter for electronic device that allows for selection between SIM card(s) via GUI display
A method of operating an electronic device is provided. The method includes recognizing a number of connection components provided in the electronic device, storing count data corresponding to the recognized number of the connection components in a memory of the electronic device, acquiring the count data from the memory, and displaying application information corresponding to the acquired count data through a display connected to the electronic device.
Cellular device SIM multiplexor and control interface
The present invention relates to a SIM multiplexing device that provides a mechanism for multiplexing multiple SIM cards into a single SIM device. The SIM Mux device interfaces to the host device via the host device's standard SIM slot. The SIM Mux application resides on the SIM Mux logic device and communicates with the device over the SIM slot's SIM I/O line using standard ISO-7816 messages. The SIM Mux application allows a user to select the active SIM slot via a SIM application interface and directs the logic device which SIM socket to activate on the shared SIM I/O line, thus enabling the user to utilize any one of the populated SIM cards at one time.
Dual-card and dual-system terminal, incoming call processing method and apparatus thereof, and storage medium thereof
Disclosed is an incoming call processing method for a dual-card and dual-system terminal. A first operating system receives an incoming call of a first SIM card; a second operating system triggers an event to notify the first operating system of an incoming call of a second SIM card upon receiving the same; the first or second operating system partitions a display screen into first and second display regions; and the first operating system displays an operating interface of the SIM card corresponding to the first operating system in the first display region, and triggers an event to notify the second operating system of display in the second display region; or the second operating system displays an operating interface of the SIM card corresponding to the second operating system in the second display region, and triggers an event to notify the first operating system of display in the first display region.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SELECTING SIM CARD
The present invention discloses methods and systems for selecting at least one SIM card for data communication at a wireless communication device which is capable of housing a plurality of SIM cards. When a switching condition is satisfied, the wireless communication device selects a second SIM card group, and disconnects one or more connections established using any non-second group SIM card. Non-second group SIM cards are SIM cards that are not in the second SIM card group. A selected SIM card from the second SIM card group is then used for data communications. The steps are repeated until (i) the switching condition is no longer satisfied, (ii) no more SIM cards selected from the second SIM card group can be used for data communications or (iii) no more connection is made using non-second group SIM cards.
