Devices and methods for efficient emergency calling
Disclosed are devices, systems, methods, and media for efficient emergency calling using digital devices. In some embodiments, a user is able to make an emergency call by a one-touch or dual-touch process. An authentication process may reduce inadvertent and unauthorized emergency calling. Persistent emergency buttons are also disclosed that may be used for calling emergency in different states of the device.
Seamless in-call voice notes
The disclosure relates to seamlessly generating an in-call voice note. An embodiment of the disclosure conducts a call with a target wireless subscriber device, transmits, to the target wireless subscriber device, an indication to start recording a portion of the call, and transmits, to the target wireless subscriber device, an indication to stop recording the portion of the call. Another embodiment of the disclosure conducts a call with an originator wireless subscriber device, receives, from the originator wireless subscriber device, an indication to start recording a portion of the call, and receives, from the originator wireless subscriber device, an indication to stop recording the portion of the call.
DEVICE CONTROL
A device for use by a user, the device comprising: a transceiver configured to communicate with at least one sensor device; and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver, the processor being configured to: cause the device to implement a set of predefined functions, receive user pose data and/or sensor movement data from the at least one sensor device, and modify the implementation of one or more of the predefined functions in response to at least one of the user pose data and the sensor movement data.
Cross Device Companion Application For Phone
Example apparatus and methods concern establishing context for a phone call. A computing device is controlled to display content and applications that are relevant for the call during the call. A party on the call is identified using data received from a phone used by the party. The relevant content and the relevant application are identified using actions (e.g., purchase to make, call to make) and intentions (e.g., family matter, business matter) identified in text provided in a text-based transcript of the call. The text-based transcript is provided in real time by a natural language processing (NLP) service during the call. The devices are controlled to selectively present the relevant content and the relevant application to make the call more automated and more productive. A to-do list is automatically generated based on the intentions, the actions, and on subject matter or content discussed or accessed during the call.
Method and apparatus for automatically identifying and annotating auditory signals from one or more parties
In one embodiment, a mobile device application automatically identifies and annotates auditory data of a conversation between two or more parties. Digital auditory data is processed to identify mention of specific entities. An identified entity is annotated, based on context and relevance, to list one or more actions possible to perform with or on the identified entity, and the identified entity displayed while the conversation is ongoing. An action is selected by signals from an input interface.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING AND ANNOTATING AUDITORY SIGNALS FROM ONE OR MORE PARTIES
In one embodiment, a mobile device application automatically identifies and annotates auditory signals from one or more parties.

Method and Apparatus for Storing Phone Number, and Method and Apparatus for Dialing Phone Number
A method and an apparatus for dialing a phone number, where the method for dialing the phone number includes obtaining, by a communications terminal from a number record of a called party, root-level number information of the called party, number information of sub-levels 1 to j, and a relationship between the root-level number information and the number information of sub-levels 1 to j, calling the called party for the second time according to the root-level number information, and sending, according to a relationship between the root-level number information and sub-level i number information, the sub-level i number information corresponding to an i.sup.th input prompt of the called party after the second call succeeds, where i1 and ij. Therefore, information can be automatically entered to the called party according to an input prompt of the called party.
Image-based detection of modem crashes in mobile telephonic devices
To detect silent crashes of communications processors in a mobile device, the mobile device analyzes signal strength icon images using a trained image processing model. During operation of a mobile device, the device captures images of a signal strength icon that is displayed by the device and that visually represents a telecommunications signal strength detected by the mobile device. The mobile device applies the captured images to the trained image processing model, which is configured to output a prediction of whether the communications processor in the mobile device crashed.
CALL PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE
A call processing method, applied in a first terminal, includes: when a call request associated with a second terminal is monitored, acquiring an identification of the second terminal; acquiring historical call information corresponding to the identification of the second terminal; and displaying the historical call information on a current call interface of the call request.
