Enhanced capture, management and distribution of live presentations

Techniques are provided for converting live presentations into electronic media and managing captured media assets for distribution. An exemplary system includes capture devices that capture media assets of live presentations comprising a session, including image data of sequentially presented visual aids accompanying the live presentations and audio data. Each capture device has an interface for real-time image data marking of the image data for identification of individual images and session marking of the image data for demarcation of individual presentations of the session. A centralized device processes the captured media assets and automatically divides the captured media assets into discrete files associated with the individual presentations based on the session markings. An administrative tool manages the processed media assets to produce modified presentations and enables modification of the visual aid images identified by the image data markings. A production device formats the modified presentations for distribution on distribution media.

COMMUNICATION TERMINAL DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A communication terminal device includes: an application acquisition section that acquires an application prepared to operate an image forming apparatus; an instruction acceptance section that accepts an operation instruction for processing indicated by the application; a processing executing section that makes the application runnable under an operating system of the communication terminal device and executes, in accordance with the application, the processing indicated by the operation instruction accepted by the instruction acceptance section; and a communication section that sends to the image forming apparatus a result of the processing executed by the processing executing section and an operation request.

Provided is an image forming apparatus that optimizes the operating environment to correspond to a user. The image forming apparatus is capable of operating based on operation instructions received from a portable terminal of the user. The image forming apparatus includes a short-range-wireless-communication unit, an operating-environment-setting unit and an operation panel. The short-range-wireless-communication unit receives personal information data that includes either or both the physical condition and the nationality of the user by short-range wireless communication from the portable terminal. The operating-environment-setting unit sets an operating environment based on the received personal information data. The operation panel displays a display screen on which the operation instruction from the portable terminal is reflected in the set operating environment.

In accordance with one embodiment, a notification control apparatus comprises an interface and a control section. The interface receives first information sent from a terminal held by a user. The control section calculates, based on the information received by the interface, a distance from the notification control apparatus to the terminal held by the user, and carries out a control to send reply information to the terminal held by the user if the distance is within a given range, and not to send reply information if the distance is out of the given range.

The individual patient can choose to update his/her personal data on the portable optical disk and can receive a new portable optical disk that includes the update. The new portable optical disk containing the latest update is created and delivered to the patient by the database management server.
