Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes an image scanning unit that is provided with a holding portion holding a flexible flat cable. The holding portion is protruded toward an upstream side in a sub scanning direction, and provided with a second wall part. The flexible flat cable that is extended from a connector is brought into contact with the second wall part. As for the flexible flat cable, a downward movement is regulated by a lower holding portion and an upward movement is regulated by an upper holding portion. Accordingly, the flexible flat cable does not rise.
ORIGINAL READING APPARATUS
An original reading apparatus includes: a reading unit configured to read an original placed on a platen while moving in a predetermined direction in a housing; a sensor provided in the housing and configured to detect presence of the original in a predetermined position on the platen to identify a size of the original; a holding member movable in the housing and configured to hold the sensor and a cable extending from the sensor; and a cover configured to cover a predetermined space on a rear side of the platen mounted to the housing. A grip portion used by an operator to move the holding member is provided at one end of the holding member extending to the predetermined space through an opening portion in a wall on a rear side of the housing. When the cover is removed, the operator is allowed to grip the grip portion.
DATA PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD
A data processing device includes a data processing circuit and a data processing control circuit. The data processing circuit is configured to perform data processing on processing target data by use of an external clock, the processing target data being included in a data signal received from an outside, the external clock being included in the data signal. The data processing control circuit is configured to detect a state of the external clock and control execution of the data processing on the processing target data in accordance with the state of the external clock. The data processing control circuit is configured to operate with a clock having a lower impedance than an impedance of the external clock, and discard the processing target data received during a period in which an abnormality of the external clock is detected, in a case of detecting the abnormality of the external clock.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a sheet support surface, a reading unit, a main body portion configured to accommodate the reading unit, and a flat cable being curved while the reading unit moves in the sub-scanning direction, wherein the main body portion includes a sliding contact surface configured to be brought into sliding contact with a flat surface of the flat cable, and a side surface facing the reading unit in the sub-scanning direction, the housing includes a first surface facing the sliding contact surface and abutting against the flat surface of the flat cable, a second surface facing the side surface, and a connecting surface configured to connect the first surface and the second surface, and the connecting surface abuts against the flat surface of the flat cable in a case where the reading unit performs the reading operation.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an operating portion which is capable of displaying a software key and which is not provided with a hardware key; an input device which is a separate member from the operating portion, which is provided adjacent to a right side of the operating portion when the image forming apparatus is seen from a position opposing the operating portion, and which is provided with a hardware key; an IC card reader which is a separate member from the operating portion and the input device, which is provided adjacent to a right side of the input device when the image forming apparatus is seen from a position opposing the input device, and which is configured to receive user information from an IC card; and a holding member configured to integrally hold the input device and the IC reader.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
Provided is an image reading apparatus including: an image reading unit configured to output image data representing an image read from an original; and an image control board configured to acquire the image data by controlling an operation of the image reading unit. When a shading error occurs, the image control board determines a part that has caused the shading error by determining whether or not a power supply voltage is being normally supplied to the image reading unit, determining whether or not a light source is normally emitting light, determining whether or not a memory is normally operating, and determining whether or not data output from the image reading unit is normally stored in the memory.
Scan system, method, and program product for generating a file with embedded useable information from a scanned image depending on scanner information
There is provided a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing application program executable by a processor of an information processing apparatus which communicates with a scanner having specific information. The specific information indicates whether the scanner is configured to generate a specific file for which specific processing is executable by a specific program. The application program, when executed by the processor, causes the information processing apparatus to: obtain an image read by the scanner; obtain the specific information from the scanner; and generate a file indicating the obtained image. In a case that the specific information is first information, the application program causes the information processing apparatus to generate the file with usable information embedded therein. In a case that the specific information is second information, the application program cause the information processing apparatus to generate the file without the usable information embedded therein.
Image forming apparatus having a cable protected by a reinforcing member
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to perform image formation on a sheet, a casing configured to house the image forming unit, an operation unit configured to receive an operation performed by a user, an electric wire extending from the casing to be connected to the operation unit and configured to transmit an electrical signal, a reinforcing member provided separate from and independent of the electric wire, the reinforcing member interconnecting the casing and the operation unit, and a covering configured to enclose therein the electric wire and the reinforcing member, wherein the reinforcing member is fixed to the casing and the operation unit in such a manner that a distance between a portion fixed to the casing and a portion fixed to the operation unit in the reinforcing member is shorter than a total length of the electric wire.
SYSTEM AND METHOD USING MATRIX BARCODE INFORMATION TO PROCESS DOCUMENTS
A system and a method using matrix barcode information to process documents are provided. A document-processing apparatus generates matrix barcode information and establishes a wireless link with a mobile apparatus through the matrix barcode information. When the document-processing apparatus establishes the wireless link with the mobile apparatus, the document-processing apparatus creates a file transfer zone, performs a corresponding automatic document-processing action, such as scanning or printing, according to a driving command received from the mobile apparatus, and exchanges the generated image information with the mobile apparatus through the file transfer zone. Given the matrix barcode information, the document-processing apparatus can be directly controlled by the mobile apparatus to achieve direct information exchange and enhanced efficiency and security of the document-processing system.
