An energy saving setting unit controls an image forming apparatus that makes a transition to a power saving state if a transition time passes without any prescribed operation in a normal state, and it includes: a unit for storing specific day information distinguishing a normal operation day and a specific day; an auto pattern updating unit determining the transition time in a normal operation day based on past operational status of the normal operation day of the image forming apparatus; a specific day pattern registering unit receiving and storing setting of the transition time of the specific day; and a switching unit, switching the state of conduction of the image forming apparatus using the transition time determined by the auto pattern updating unit and the stored transition time, on the normal operation day and on the specific day, respectively, based on the specific day information.

An image processing apparatus includes at least one of an image forming device configured to form an image on a sheet or an image reader configured to read an image on the sheet, and a storage configured to store information. The apparatus also includes a display configured to display a screen, and a controller. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions for an information processing apparatus including: a processor; a display; and a memory storing at least one set of printer information. First and second type printers transmit status information to the information processing apparatus. The status information from the first type printer includes first information. The status information from the second type printer includes second information. The computer-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing apparatus to perform: setting target printer information to one of the at least one set of printer information; receiving the status information from a printer specified by the target printer information; and displaying, when the received status information includes the first information, a first screen on the display; and displaying, when the received status information includes the second information and does not include the first information, a second screen on the display.

An example image forming device includes a wakeup source to detect an event for cancelling a power saving mode of the image forming device, a display, a processor, and a memory to store instructions executable by the processor. By executing the instructions, the processor is to display, through the display, a setting screen including a user interface to set an operation of the wakeup source, obtain information on a condition for cancelling the power saving mode based on setting information of the wakeup source received from the setting screen, and cancel the power saving mode in a case where a cancellation condition included in the information on the condition for cancelling the power saving mode is met in the power saving mode.

An image processing apparatus includes a document reading section, a reading controller, an image transfer section, and a transfer controller. The document reading section reads documents. The reading controller controls the document reading section so as to read document images subsequent to a first sheet independently of a command from a host apparatus.
