METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20180278883 · 2018-09-27 ·

An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

A cable support mechanism has a cable support portion, and supports two flexible cables which are ribbon-shaped and in each of which a plurality of conductors are arranged in parallel to each other in a coating material. The cable support portion includes a first support surface, a second support surface, and a plurality of guide ribs. The first support surface supports one of the two flexible cables. The second support surface is formed on a side reverse to a side where the first support surface is formed, and supports the other one of the two flexible cables. The guide ribs projects from two edges of each of the first support surface and the second support surface, the two edges opposing each other in a flexible-cable width direction, so as to overlap, and be spaced by a predetermined distance from, the first support surface and the second support surface.

Information processing apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium

The present invention presents an information processing apparatus capable of having a plurality of power saving states, and a method of controlling the same. The apparatus times a specific packet reception time interval, and select, based on the timed reception time interval, one of the plurality of power saving states into which to transition. If the apparatus satisfies a condition for transitioning into a power saving state, the information processing apparatus transitions to the selected power saving state.

Wireless Camera System

The present invention relates to wireless camera systems including a camera module and power module which are configured to wireless transmit data to a portable computing device. The camera module may be configured to generate data from an image sensor or microphone. The electrical input may be configured to receive a direct current to charge the primary battery and the battery receptacle may include both a physical camera receptacle and an electrical camera coupler. In a first embodiment, the camera module may further include a wireless communication module configured to wirelessly transmit the data to the portable computer device in the separated state. In a second embodiment, the power module may be configured to receive the data from the camera module in the coupled state and wirelessly transmit the data to the portable computer device in the coupled state via a wireless communication module.

DISPLAY DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

The display device includes a mode shift control unit, a storage control unit, and a display control unit. The mode shift control unit performs such control that if a first condition is satisfied in a first mode, a display screen is not displayed and the first mode shifts to a second mode, and that if a second condition is satisfied in the second mode, the display screen is displayed and the second mode shifts to the first mode. The display control unit performs such control that when the second mode shifts to the first mode by the mode shift control unit, as information displayed on the display screen, an entry of the first setting stored in the storage section is displayed for the first setting and an entry of an initial setting is displayed for the second setting.

Image forming apparatus, operation control method and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing operation control program

An image forming apparatus includes a control section and a hardware device controlled by execution of a job execution program. The control section includes a CPU and a non-volatile memory which stores the job execution program and working data created by execution of the job execution program. The control section includes a program monitoring section that, in accordance with a status of execution of the job execution program, determines a job execution status at power-off of the apparatus; and a matching section that, on the basis of a result of determining the job execution status, determines whether an execution status of the job execution program and an operation status of the hardware device match at start-up of the apparatus. On determining that the execution status and the operation status do not match at the start-up, the matching section deletes the working data in the non-volatile memory.

An image forming apparatus which is capable of selecting power states that suit user's intention for a low-power state and a job executable state. A first power-saving state or a second power-saving state in which a smaller amount of power is consumed than in the first power-saving state is set as a power-saving state to which the printing apparatus is shifted when a shifting factor is detected. A first returning method for returning the printing apparatus from the power-saving state when a returning factor that causes the printing apparatus to return from the power-saving state is detected, or a second returning method for returning the printing apparatus from the power-saving state when a function to be used is selected on a function selecting screen displayed in response to detecting the returning factor is set. When the first power-saving state has been set, the first returning method is set.
