Information processing apparatus, recording medium, and proxy response system
An information processing apparatus is selectively executable a normal mode or a sleep mode, the information processing apparatus including: a main controller circuit that operates in the normal mode; a sub controller circuit that operates in the sleep mode; a first communication interface capable of communicating with an external apparatus connected to a first network; and a second communication interface capable of communicating with a proxy response device, the proxy response device being unconnected to the first network. In the sleep mode, the sub controller circuit receives a request from the external apparatus via the first communication interface, sends the request to the proxy response device via the second communication interface, receives a response to the request from the proxy response device via the second communication interface, and sends the response to the external apparatus via the first communication interface.
Information processing apparatus having electric-power saving mode, control method of the same, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus capable of reliably specifying a notification factor of a detection error. An execution-state monitoring unit monitors an execution state of an electric-power supplying process of supplying electric power to a process executing unit. A response-notification receiving unit receives a response notification from the process executing unit. A notification unit gives a notification that the process executing unit is not detected when an execution of the electric-power supplying process is completed and when the response notification is not received.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS INCLUDING SRAM CAPABLE OF SHIFTING TO PLURALITY OF POWER SAVING MODES ACCORDING TO CONTROL SIGNAL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
There is provided a control apparatus for controlling a static random access memory (SRAM) capable of shifting from a first power mode to a second power mode that is capable of holding data and saving more power than the first power mode or a third power mode that is not capable of holding data but is capable of saving more power than the second power mode. The control apparatus includes a first instruction unit configured to output an instruction for shifting the SRAM to the second power mode based on a state of the control apparatus and a second instruction unit configured to output an instruction for shifting the SRAM to the third power mode based on a state of the control apparatus.
Switching device and image forming apparatus
A switching device includes a keytop and a switching part. The keytop is exposed from an opening of an exterior cover of a housing. The switching part is pushed by the keytop. The switching part includes a head portion on which a pushing operation is received and a cover portion covering the opening of the exterior cover around the head portion. The cover portion forms an exterior appearance of the housing together with the exterior cover.
CLIENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
A client apparatus that communicates with a management server to receive an instruction from the management server, and a power supply of the client apparatus transitions to a sleep state when the client apparatus does not receive a user operation for a certain time period, and after the power supply of the client apparatus transitions to the sleep state, the power supply of the client apparatus temporarily transitions to a normal state without receiving a user operation. After the client apparatus communicates with the management server, the power supply of the client apparatus transitions from the normal state to the sleep state.
Information processing apparatus and control method of information processing apparatus
An information processing apparatus according to the present invention is operated by at least switching between a first power state and a second power state in which its power consumption is less than that of the first power state. In a case where an event detected during a period from start to end of processing of making transition from the first power state to the second power state is a communication establishment event, the information processing apparatus causes a communication unit to transmit to a communication partner a notification for maintaining connection of communication in the second power state.
Image forming apparatus that controls power supply based on result detected by human sensor
An image forming apparatus (100) includes a human sensor (10), an image forming section (20), an internal sensor (30), a power supply section (40), a controller (50), and a communication section (60). The internal sensor (30) includes a first internal sensor (31) and a second internal sensor (32). The first internal sensor (31) detects a quantity that varies by operation of the image forming section (20). The second internal sensor (32) detects a state of operation of the image forming section (20). In a power saving state, the controller (50) controls, based on a result detected by the human sensor (10), the power supply section (40) to supply electric power to the first internal sensor (31) and not to supply electric power to the second internal sensor (32).
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a power supply having a maximum power output, a plurality of power loads selectively connectable to the power supply, wherein the sum of the power drawable by all of the power loads exceeds the maximum power output of the power supply; and a controller configured to: Determine the power loads to be operable during an operation of the image forming apparatus, determine whether the total drawable power of the loads which will be operable during the operation of the image forming apparatus exceeds the maximum power output of the power supply; and if the total drawable power of the loads which are operable during the operation of the image forming apparatus exceeds the maximum power output of the power supply, limit the power drawable by at least one load such that the sum of the drawable power of all the loads is less than or equal to the maximum power output of the power supply.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a function control processing unit, a clock oscillation unit, power supply control unit including a power supply control processing unit which starts as a power supply of the image forming apparatus is turned on to control energization of constituent elements and control a startup operation of the function control processing unit. Further, the image forming apparatus has a warming-up operation mode in which when the power supply of the image forming apparatus is turned on, the power supply control processing unit starts up to make the clock oscillation unit start operating to transmit a clock signal to the function control processing unit, and in which the power supply control processing unit restarts itself and starts up the function control processing unit after a lapse of a predetermined standby time set beforehand, with the function control processing unit kept inactive.
Cable support mechanism which supports ribbon-shaped flexible cable and automatic document feeder including same, and image forming apparatus
A cable support mechanism has a cable support portion, and supports two flexible cables which are ribbon-shaped and in each of which a plurality of conductors are arranged in parallel to each other in a coating material. The cable support portion includes a first support surface, a second support surface, and a plurality of guide ribs. The first support surface supports one of the two flexible cables. The second support surface is formed on a side reverse to a side where the first support surface is formed, and supports the other one of the two flexible cables. The guide ribs projects from two edges of each of the first support surface and the second support surface, the two edges opposing each other in a flexible-cable width direction, so as to overlap, and be spaced by a predetermined distance from, the first support surface and the second support surface.
