Computer-readable medium, information processing device, and method for providing better accessibility to cloud server
A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions executable by a processor of an information processing device communicably connected with an image processing apparatus and a cloud server. The computer-readable instructions realize an application configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform, in response to receiving an import instruction to import a workflow, reading, from an export file, workflow information representing the workflow that is a sequence of processes using the image processing apparatus and the cloud server, and selecting one of a plurality of methods to obtain authentication information for accessing the cloud server to perform the workflow represented by the read workflow information, and access, in response to receiving a workflow execution instruction to perform the workflow, the cloud server by using the authentication information obtained in the selected method.
Scanner, scanner control method, and storage medium
In a Multi-Function Peripheral (MFP), identification information readable from an IC card is accepted, an administrator ID and an administrator password are used to access a policy server, a policy is registered in the policy server based on the accepted identification information, and storage of an encrypted file including image data obtained by a scan is controlled. A security setting in accordance with the policy based on the identification information is associated with the encrypted file, and a restriction of at least a part of an operation on the file is enabled in accordance with the security setting in accordance with the policy.
Image forming apparatus with power saving features
An image forming apparatus includes an interface and a control circuit. The interface is configured to connect a contactless card reader. The control circuit is configured to acquire identification information read from an information recording medium by the contactless card reader and to decrease a field intensity level of the contactless card reader in response to a success of authentication of the identification information.
DOCUMENT DETERMINATION SYSTEM, DOCUMENT DETERMINATION METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A document determination system includes a server apparatus that stores document data, a second multi-function printer that generates an authentic printed product, which is an authentic printed product in which a document represented by document data stored in the server apparatus is printed and in which at least a portion of the document is printed in composite black that is black represented using ink of a plurality of colors, and a third multi-function printer that reads a printed surface of a reading target including the authentic printed product and a duplicate of the authentic printed product. The server apparatus determines, based on whether at least the portion of the document represented by read data generated through reading by the third multi-function printer is printed in composite black, whether the reading target read by the third multi-function printer is the authentic printed product.
MULTIFUNCTION DEVICE
According to an embodiment, it is possible to restrict usage of a web-based service error resolution service by multifunctional peripheral devices or the like. A multifunction device for such purposes includes a display unit with a display screen, a device unit configured to generate an error code when an error in the device unit occurs, and a processor. The processor configured to acquire the error code from the device unit and transmit an error notification including the error code to an external apparatus. The processor then receives a counted number of errors from the external apparatus, and then select an error resolution screen to be displayed on the display screen based on the received counted number of errors.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING BOTH CONVENIENCE OF USER AND DEFENSE AGAINST EXTERNAL THREATS, CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus capable of achieving both convenience of a user and defense against external threats is provided. The image forming apparatus that transmits and receives data to and from a plurality of external apparatuses via a plurality of network ports includes a setting unit configured to set an application permitted to be used in a mode, which blocks the network ports other than a prescribed network port in response to a request from the outside, a job storing unit configured such that in a case that a job received from the external apparatus via one of the plurality of network ports is not a job of the application permitted to be used which is set by the setting unit, the received job is stored, an authentication unit configured to perform user authentication, and a print permitting unit configured such that in a case that the user authentication is performed by the authentication unit with respect to a user who generated the stored job, printing of the stored job by the authenticated user is permitted.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processing apparatus includes: an apparatus information generator, an authenticator, and a job controller. The apparatus information generator generates apparatus information including apparatus identification information. The authenticator performs non-contact user authentication with a communication terminal by using communication without the Internet or by capturing image information. The job controller causes the communication terminal whose user has been authenticated by the authenticator to acquire the apparatus information by using communication without the Internet or by providing the apparatus information as image information. The job controller causes an apparatus corresponding to the apparatus information to execute a job on a basis of the apparatus information transmitted from the communication terminal via the Internet and setting information related to job execution.
Systems and methods for creating enhanced documents for perfect automated parsing
The disclosed enhanced document creation and parsing systems deal with enhanced documents that allow for the presentation of document content in a preferred visual manner, while ensuring that the document content can be captured accurately by an automated parser with nothing being discarded or misrepresented. The enhanced document creation system may create an enhanced document by encoding document content in accordance with a defined schema, optionally encrypting the resulting structured data into an encrypted byte string, and embedding the encrypted byte string as non-visible metadata in a rendered document. The resulting enhanced document can be completely and accurately parsed by an enhanced document parsing system that is capable of extracting, decrypting and decoding the embedded document metadata.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus is provided that includes mechanisms for registering strings, extracting text information from received job data, determining a job availability of the received job data based on a comparison of the extracted text information with the registered strings, associating a result of the determination of job availability with the received job data and storing the result of the determination of job availability and the received job data; and controlling an execution of the received job data based on the result of the determination of job availability, in response to receiving an execution instruction of the received job data.
DOCUMENT DETERMINATION SYSTEM AND PRINTING DEVICE
A document determination system includes a server device that stores identification information in association with document information, a printer that prints a document image corresponding to the document information and a code image indicating the identification information on a print medium to generate a normal printed matter, and a scanner that reads a print image printed on a printed matter including the normal printed matter and a copied printed matter obtained by copying the normal printed matter. The printer prints the code image in a preset end region of the print medium. The server device determines whether the printed matter is the normal printed matter based on the code image included in the print image read by the scanner.
