Ornamental Frame Assembly
20230060401 · 2023-03-02 ·

An ornamental frame assembly for enhancing the ornamental appearance of a flat screen display includes a frame that has a plurality of intersecting members such that the frame has a rectangular shape to conform to a flat screen display. Each of the intersecting members comprises a first portion that is oriented at an angle with a second portion to accommodate an outer edge of the flat screen display. A lens is attached to the frame such that the lens extends around a full perimeter of the frame. A plurality of light emitters is each positioned in the frame. Each of the light emitters is positioned behind the lens to emit light through the lens.

Display control program, display control apparatus and display control method

Methods and apparatus provide for carrying out a method for rendering a virtual-three dimensional space on a display, including: acquiring information indicative of a position of a head mounted display worn on a head of a user; acquiring information indicative of a position of an input apparatus for use by the user; acquiring information indicative of an instruction entered in the input apparatus; and generating an image of the virtual three-dimensional space to be displayed on the head mounted display at a viewpoint position and a sightline direction, where the generating includes generating an image of the input apparatus at the position in the image determined on a basis of a relative position with the head mounted display of the input apparatus, and where the generating includes generating an image of a hand of the user when the user controls the input apparatus.

Image display apparatus and image display method

A modulator of a distance measuring sensor unit 102 has a photographing pattern that includes a plurality of patterns different from each other, and modulates intensity of light. A gesture detecting unit divides image data obtained by receiving light transmitted through the modulator by the image sensor; restores an image by calculation based on a developing pattern corresponding to the photographing pattern in a divided unit; and obtains an image for detecting gesture of a user. This makes it possible to obtain an image of an object in an outside world without using a lens for forming an image. Therefore, it is possible to reduce a load on a user when the user wears the apparatus.

Ambient light sensor windows for electronic devices comprising an optical sensor within an opening in the locally thinned area of an opaque layer

An electronic device has pixels that form an active area of a display for displaying images for a user. A layer of black ink or other opaque material may be formed on an inner surface of a display cover layer in an inactive area of the display that does not overlap pixels. The housing may have sidewalls such as a rear housing wall that faces away from the display. Ambient light sensor windows may be formed from tapered holes or other holes. The tapered holes may be formed in the opaque material on the display cover layer, may be formed in a rear housing wall or other hosing structure, or may be formed in other portions of the electronic device. Non-tapered holes may also form windows. Tapered holes may have sidewalls with portions that run parallel to their longitudinal axes and portions that are angled relative to their longitudinal axes.

Levitating display device

Provided are a levitating display device and an operating method thereof. The display device includes a frame unit and a panel unit, wherein the frame unit includes a power receiver and a wireless power transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit power received by the power receiver to the panel unit, and the panel unit includes a wireless power receiver configured to wirelessly receive the power from the wireless power transmitter and a display configured to receive the power from the wireless power receiver and display an image.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL PATIENT DISTRACTION
20230064955 · 2023-03-02 ·

Systems and methods for medical patient distraction may permit watching an immersive video headset during a dental or medical procedure that is compatible with nitrous oxide. Having the ability to watch a show on an immersive video headset while using nitrous oxide may allow for further distraction of the patient from the discomfort of dental or medical procedures. The parts and pieces of the immersive video headset that touch the patient may be detachable so they can be changed between patients for easy sterilization and cleanliness. Also, the immersive video headset may be capable of mirroring what is on a phone or nearby computer. The design of the headset may be specifically compatible with being able to use a nitrous hood during dental or medical procedures.

Display module and television

Disclosed are a display module and a television, the display module including: a back plate including a back plate body and a side wall, the back plate body and the side wall being integrally formed and together defining a mounting space, a connecting rib parallel to the back plate body being integrally formed on an inside surface of the side wall; a display screen, an edge of an inside surface of the display screen being fixed to the connecting rib; and an optical film set mounted in the mounting space.

Display device

This display device comprises: a display panel; a module cover positioned on the rear surface of the display panel; an adhesive member coupling the module cover and the display panel; a substrate plate covering a first region on the rear surface of the module cover; and a control unit coupled to the rear surface of the substrate plate and controlling the display panel, wherein the substrate plate includes a contacting part that is in contact with the module cover, and a spacing part that is spaced apart from the module cover and forms an air gap between the substrate plate and the module cover. The thickness of the module panel and the number of components can be reduced, such that the manufacturing cost of the display device and the weight of the product can be reduced.

Environment control in electronic apparatus

An electronic apparatus includes a housing with a power supply unit that receives external electrical power and supplies it to the apparatus using a power controller. The housing includes a heater; temperature and humidity sensors; and an electronic processor that receives power from the power supply unit and controls functions of the electronic apparatus. Upon startup, the power controller receives data from the temperature and humidity sensors; processes the received temperature and humidity data to indicate a current dew point within the housing; and compares the current dew point with a current location temperature at a location within the housing. If the current location temperature is at or below the current dew point, the heater is activated to raise the temperature within the housing. If the current location temperature is above the current dew point, electrical power supplied from the power supply unit to the electronic processor.
