A display apparatus and a computing apparatus including the same are provided. A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image, a vibration plate at a rear surface of the display panel, a vibration device at the vibration plate and configured to vibrate the vibration plate, and a pad adjacent to the vibration device. The vibration device is not connected to the vibration plate via the pad. A height of the pad may be greater than a height of the vibration device.

The present specification relates to a method by which a source device transmits audio data in a short-range wireless communication system, and to an apparatus for same. The method proposed in the present specification comprises the steps of: establishing a connection with a sink device; performing a setup procedure for transmitting the audio data with the sink device on the basis of the established connection; and transmitting, to the sink device, the audio data on the basis of the setup procedure, wherein the steps of performing a setup procedure further comprises a step of transmitting, to the sink device, timing information on a transmission timing of the audio data and metadata information for transmission of the audio data, and the audio data is transmitted without transmission of a periodic advertisement message for transmitting the timing information and the metadata information.

A video transmissive head-mounted display device capable of avoiding danger to a user when worn by the user has an external world image acquired by a first image inputting unit, and the external world image is displayed on a display unit. The head-mounted display device has a second image inputting unit that acquires a binocular image of a wearer. The head-mounted display device is configured so that a control unit determines, from the binocular image of the wearer acquired by the second image inputting unit, that the wearer is awake when both eyes are closed for no longer than a predetermined period of time and that the wearer is asleep when both eyes are closed for a predetermined period of time or longer, and the display unit displays the external world image acquired by the first image inputting unit when the wearer wakes from sleep.

An object is to provide a head-mounted display apparatus that makes it possible to accurately determine a mounting deviation. The technology provides a head-mounted display apparatus including a sensor that detects a change in position of the head-mounted display apparatus relative to a head. The technology further provides an image display system including the head-mounted display apparatus and an information processor that sends image data to the head-mounted display apparatus. The technology further provides an image display method including a detection step of detecting the change in position of the head-mounted display apparatus relative to the head, and an adjustment step of adjusting a position to which the head-mounted display apparatus projects image display light on the basis of the change in position detected in the detection step.

A virtual image display device displays a virtual image by projecting a display light of an image toward a projection unit, and includes: a display unit configured to emit the display light; and a diffraction reflection element configured to reflect the display light emitted from the display unit by diffraction. The diffraction reflection element has a plate shape along a horizontal plane. The diffraction reflection element is configured to emit the display light toward the projection unit arranged above the diffraction reflection element when the display light is incident, and is set such that an angle of incidence on the diffraction reflection element is larger than an angle of emission from the diffraction reflection element.

Further, graphics are displayed in regions of the image, which are invisible when the image is viewed through the lens, and a notification matter from the information processing apparatus is embedded into the graphics depending upon the color, pattern, and shape. The HMD specifies the notification matter corresponding to the graphics and changes the later output mode.
