There is provided an excellent image display device allowing observation of a surrounding scene by a video see-through method. While an authentication process is being performed, a head-mounted display 100 superimposes, and displays, an authentication screen on a video see-through image captured by an outside camera 312. Accordingly, a user is enabled to observe the surrounding scene by the video see-through image during the authentication process. Even when using the head-mounted display 100 while walking outdoors, the user is enabled to constantly grasp his/her surroundings, and the safety may be secured.

BEVERAGE TAP HANDLE SYSTEM WITH EMBEDDED DISPLAY SCREEN

The present disclosure provides apparatuses and methods related to a beverage tap handle that is capable of displaying videos proactively and retroactively based on environmental triggers. In a general embodiment, a beverage tap handle includes a handle portion that can be pulled to dispense a beverage from a spigot, an attachment portion that attaches the handle portion to the spigot, a display screen configured to display a plurality of images, and a controller that controls the display screen to change an image displayed on the display screen to a new image from the plurality of images, the controller programmed to (i) change the displayed image to the new image when the handle portion is pulled sideways to dispense the beverage; and/or (ii) change the displayed image to the new image after the displayed image has been displayed for a predetermined amount of time.

Stereoscopic video observation device and transmittance control method

In a stereoscopic video observation device 200, an optically transmissive HMD 208 presents video observed when a three-dimensional image in a virtual three-dimensional space is projected into a real space. A transmittance changing section changes the transmittance of light that passes through the optically transmissive HMD 208. A shutter control section 220 sets a lower limit value of the light transmittance that can be changed by the transmittance changing section.

Methods and apparatus for automatic TV on/off detection

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for automatic TV ON/OFF detection. An example method includes detecting a power state of an information presentation device. The method includes comparing, using a processor, a measurement indicative of an amount of power drawn by the information presentation device to a first threshold. The method also includes comparing the measurement to a second threshold. The method also includes storing an indication that the information presentation device is in an indeterminate state if the measurement is greater than the first threshold and less than the second threshold.
