METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL RECONSTRUCTION OF AN OBJECT WITH REDUCED DISTORTION
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for generating a three-dimensional reconstruction of an object with reduced distortion are described. In some aspects, a system includes at least two image sensors, at least two projectors, and a processor. Each image sensor is configured to capture one or more images of an object. Each projector is configured to illuminate the object with an associated optical pattern and from a different perspective. The processor is configured to perform the acts of receiving, from each image sensor, for each projector, images of the object illuminated with the associated optical pattern and generating, from the received images, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the object. The three-dimensional reconstruction has reduced distortion due to the received images of the object being generated when each projector illuminates the object with an associated optical pattern from the different perspective.
TEXTURE DISPLAY DEVICE, TEXTURE DISPLAY METHOD, AND TEXTURE DISPLAY PROGRAM
A texture display device includes a display unit in which each pixel includes a condensing type element having light distribution at a first spread angle and a diffusing type element having light distribution at a second spread angle larger than the first spread angle, a pixel signal generation unit that generates a pixel signal based on image data and texture data of an object to be displayed on the display unit, and a control unit that controls light emission intensity of the condensing type element and the diffusing type element based on the pixel signal.

Method and apparatus for image content detection and image content replacement system
A subject, such as a billboard, has a filtering film to absorb electromagnetic radiation specifically in a first wavelength band. A detector provides a first detector signal relating to the first wavelength band and a second detector signal relating to another, different, second wavelength band, respectively. Suitably, the subject appears with high intensity in one band and with low intensity in the other. A content replacement unit produces a mask signal by identifying regions of contrast between the first and second detector signals as target areas. A content substitution unit selectively replaces the target areas with alternate image content to generate modified video images. The system is useful, for example, to generate multiple live television broadcasts each having differing billboard advertisements.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING GHOST IMAGES IN A LASER IMAGING SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for reducing ghost images in a laser imaging system. The method includes, positioning an absorptive neutral density filter, having an optical density (OD) of at least 1, between a pixelated detector and a laser source. The method further includes, emitting a laser beam, from the laser source onto the absorptive neutral density filter, transmitting a portion of the light incident upon a first surface of the absorptive neutral density filter to a second surface of the absorptive neutral density filter, reflecting a portion of light incident upon the second surface of the absorptive neutral density filter and absorbing the reflected portion of light, by the absorptive neutral density filter, to reduce ghost images at the pixelated detector.

Image display system with visual filter
According to one implementation, an image display system includes a computing platform having a hardware processor and a system memory storing a software code, a display coupled to the computing platform, and a visual filter and at least partially surrounding the display and having an opaque mode and a transparent mode. The hardware processor executes the software code to set the visual filter to the opaque mode to obscure the display. The hardware processor also executes the software code to generate a visual image using the display, to obtain an operating parameter of the image display system corresponding to a status of the display, and to detect that the operating parameter meets a predetermined criterion. In response to detecting that the operating parameter meets the predetermined criterion, the hardware processor further executes the software code to set the visual filter to the transparent mode to make the display visible.
