PHENOTYPING APPARATUS
Apparatus to acquire an image of roots of a plant located in a target rhizotron. The apparatus includes: a turntable having a rotation axis and intended to support the target rhizotron; a lightening device; a first camera having an optical axis substantially oriented toward the rotation axis; a focus sensor arranged so as to provide a measure at least one parameter of the first camera; a control module, configured to receive the measure, compare the measure to comparison data, and inform an operator accordingly, the comparison data comprising data related to reference rhizotrons different than the target rhizotron, and/or data related to one or several previously acquired images of the target rhizotron.
Endoscopy system and method for processing image of the same
An endoscopy system includes: an image signal generating unit which is connected to one side of a cable, and which includes a signal transmission unit for converting an image signal of inner body according to a protocol for long distance transmission and transmit a converted image signal to thereby send the image signal through a cable; a signal processing unit which is connected to the other side of the cable, and which receives the converted image signal transmitted through the cable and converts the converted image signal into the image signal; a CPU for outputting a user interface for the image signal and an operation control signal according to a handling of the user interface of user; an image processing unit for overlapping the user interface on the image signal output from the signal processing unit and processing the image signal according to the operation control signal.
Display device
A display device including a display configured to display at least a portion of an omnidirectional image; a user input interface configured to input a display mode of the omnidirectional image to be one of a first display mode and a second display mode; and a controller configured to in response to the input display mode being the first display mode, set a size of an area of the omnidirectional image to be displayed on the display to correspond with an aspect ratio of the display, in response to the input display mode being the second display mode, set the size of the area of the omnidirectional image to be displayed on the display to correspond with an aspect ratio that is different than the aspect ratio of the display, and display a first partial image on the display including an area having the set size of the omnidirectional image.
Automated color calibration system for optical devices
A color calibration system for color correction in an optical device using a database of target colors includes a physical target card. The physical target card includes at least three unique colored patches arranged in a predetermined pattern on the physical target card, identifying indicia, and alignment indicia. The color calibration system also includes an executable machine-readable software. The software is configured to read and assign a value to the colored patches. The software is further configured to read the identifying indicia and identify the physical target card, and to read the alignment indicia for identifying individual colored patches. The software is further configured to compare color values in the optical device to known factory color values, generate a target card profile, and convert native color space for use in subsequent images under the same lighting conditions.

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include systems for generating personalized avatar reactions during live video broadcasts. For example, the systems and methods described herein can access a social networking system user's profile to identify an avatar associated with the social networking system user. The systems and methods can generate an avatar reaction by modifying one or more features of the avatar based on a corresponding emoticon reaction. Once generated, the social networking system user can select the avatar reaction for addition to an ephemeral reaction stream associated with a live video broadcast. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
PREDICTING VIDEO EDITS FROM TEXT-BASED CONVERSATIONS USING NEURAL NETWORKS
Embodiments are disclosed for predicting, using neural networks, editing operations for application to a video sequence based on processing conversational messages by a video editing system. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods comprise receiving an input including a video sequence and text sentences, the text sentences describing a modification to the video sequence, mapping, by a first neural network content of the text sentences describing the modification to the video sequence to a candidate editing operation, processing, by a second neural network, the video sequence to predict parameter values for the candidate editing operation, and generating a modified video sequence by applying the candidate editing operation with the predicted parameter values to the video sequence.
MOBILE OBJECT AND STORAGE MEDIUM
There is provided a mobile object including an imaging unit configured to capture a perimeter of the mobile object, a speaker configured to be capable of controlling directivity, a determination unit configured to determine whether the mobile object is in a driving mode, and a speaker control unit configured to control the speaker in the driving mode in a manner that predetermined audio is output toward a warning target that is recognized based on a captured image captured by the imaging unit, and to control the speaker in a non-driving mode in a manner that the predetermined audio is output in a non-directional way.
SCREEN BLOCKING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
A removable, adjustable strap that secures around a television screen when a sports ticker is present and blocks the ticker from being visible on the screen.
ALERT DIRECTIVES AND FOCUSED ALERT DIRECTIVES IN A BEHAVIORAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM
Alert directives and focused alert directives allow a user to provide feedback to a behavioral recognition system to always or never publish an alert for certain events. Such an approach bypasses the normal publication methods of the behavioral recognition system yet does not obstruct the system's learning procedures.
