Object tracking for artificial vision
This invention concerns the tracking of objects in video data for artificial vision; for instance for a bionic eye. More particularly, the invention concerns a vision enhancement apparatus for a vision-impaired user. In other aspects, the invention concerns a method for enhancing vision and software to perform the method. The image processor operates to process video data representing images of a scene. Automatically detect and track a user selected object, such as a face, in the images. And, automatically modify the video data, by reserving a user selected area of the displayed images for displaying the tracked object as a separate video tile within the scene. The separate video tile remains in the selected area despite movement of the camera relative to the scene, or movement of the user relative to the object or the scene.
Endoscopy system and method for processing image of the same
Provided is an endoscopy system including: an image signal generating unit which is connected to one side of a cable, and which includes a signal transmission unit configured to convert an image signal of inner body according to a protocol for long distance transmission and transmit a converted image signal so as to achieve transmission of the image signal through the cable; a signal processing unit connected to the other side of the cable, and receiving the converted image signal transmitted through the cable and converting the converted image signal into the image signal; a CPU configured to output a user interface for the image signal and an operation control signal according to a handling of the user interface of user; an image processing unit configured to overlap the user interface on the image signal output from the signal processing unit and process the image signal according to the operation control signal.
Information processing apparatus, information providing method, and information providing system
An information processing apparatus uses a display device to provide display information. The information processing apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to store information relating to a position of an output device that outputs information relating to the output device, and information relating to the display device corresponding to the position of the output device; receive information of a transmission source and the information of the output device acquired by the transmission source, from the transmission source capable of communicating with the information processing apparatus; identify a position of the transmission source, based on the received information; and control the display device corresponding to the position of the transmission source to display the display information, according to the information of the transmission source.
Method and system for auxiliary data detection and delivery
A method and system for auxiliary data detection. Data is received on a hand-held device from a display of a signal on a monitor. The signal is visually displayed on the monitor at a frequency. A modulated video signal is received on the hand-held device from a display device. The modulated video signal contains auxiliary data modulated within a video signal in a substantially invisible way. The modulated video signal is demodulated to obtain the auxiliary data. At least one of the data or the auxiliary data is processed to identify a promotional opportunity available through the hand-held device. The user of the hand-held device is notified of availability of the promotional opportunity through the hand-held device.
HUMAN-PET INTERACTION SYSTEM
A human-pet interaction system includes a pet container, a display apparatus, a speaker, and a user apparatus. The pet container has a side plate. The display apparatus is disposed on the pet container, and has a display panel and a processing module connected to the display panel. The display panel is disposed on the side plate, and has a display surface facing to an interior of the pet container. The speaker is connected to the processing module. The user apparatus transmits an audio and video control signal to the processing module to control the display panel and the speaker to play audio and video data contents. Accordingly, the user apparatus plays vivid and various audio and video data contents on the display panel and/or through the speaker so as to attract pets' attention and activate pets' motions and facial expressions, thus increasing interaction between pets and keepers.
Display apparatus including a transparent electronic monitor
A display apparatus includes a transparent electronic display such as a non-backlit LCD screen, a display area disposed behind the transparent electronic display, and a light source for illuminating the display area. When the light source is activated, the pixels of the LCD screen, and objects behind the screen, become visible. Various examples of the display apparatus include additional enhancements to the visual image and/or functionality. These enhancements include additional monitors for coordinated displays, user-controlled turntables with coordinated informational displays, parallax compensation, RFID sensors for identifying objects to be displayed, and switchable liquid crystal films and/or polarized mirror coatings to further control revealing and concealing of objects behind the screen. Some examples of the display apparatus may include an animal habitat. The animal habitat may be selectively revealed or concealed. The display apparatus may incorporate screen displays with animal movements for unique visual effects.
MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM FOR TRANSFORMING ANY ROOM INTO A SHOW ENVIRONMENT
A show system or in-room entertainment or show system configured to provide engaging and immersive multimedia shows or presentations in nearly any space (or room) that is defined by one or more walls. The in-room show system generally includes a controller for selectively operating a display device (e.g., a television or the like), a video projector, an audio system (e.g., one or more speakers), and other show components (e.g., one or more lights, a fan, a mechanical device, and so on). Media content is predefined for the room, and the controller operates (such as in response to a triggering switch or remote control device that may take the form of a show prop activated by someone in the room) to serve the media content to tell a story and/or magically transform the space into a multidimensional and immersive entertainment space.
Shared scene mesh data synchronization
Within a communication system, packets are received for a video channel defining a shared scene and a surface reconstruction channel associated with surface reconstruction data of image data. The image data and intrinsic and extrinsic capture device data are from an image capture device and are encoded and packetized within the video channel. The surface reconstruction data is encoded and packetized within the surface reconstruction channel. The image data and the intrinsic and extrinsic capture device data are extracted from within the video channel. The surface reconstruction data is extracted from within the surface reconstruction channel. The shared scene is rendered using the image data, the intrinsic and extrinsic capture device data, and the surface reconstruction data.
Video display for visually impaired people
A system and method are provided for presenting video content to a user. The method includes displaying video content on a visual display layer of a display device. The method further includes tracking, by a video processor, at least one object of interest in the video content. The method also includes embossing, based on respective positions of the at least one object, the at least one object on a microfluidics panel surface layer of the display device. The method additionally includes magnetizing, based on the respective positions, one or more portions of magnetic material in a magnetic material mesh layer of the display device to create respective temporary magnetics at the one or more portions that emit respective magnetic fields detectable by at least one user-wearable magnetic ring device held proximate to the display device. The respective magnetic fields indicate at least a movement of the at least one object.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device including a display configured to display at least a portion of an omnidirectional image; a user input interface configured to input a display mode of the omnidirectional image to be one of a first display mode and a second display mode; and a controller configured to in response to the input display mode being the first display mode, set a size of an area of the omnidirectional image to be displayed on the display to correspond with an aspect ratio of the display, in response to the input display mode being the second display mode, set the size of the area of the omnidirectional image to be displayed on the display to correspond with an aspect ratio that is different than the aspect ratio of the display, and display a first partial image on the display including an area having the set size of the omnidirectional image.
