Camera system and method for monitoring an installation, in particular switchgear
A camera system for monitoring an installation, in particular switchgear, has at least one camera, a display device, a switchover device and a power supply which, in an active state, supplies the camera with power via the switchover device. The switchover device is configured to transmit an image signal from the camera automatically to either the display device or to an interface to which a computer can be connected. There is also described a method for monitoring an installation, in particular switchgear, by way of the camera system.
Embeddable media playback interaction sharing
Techniques are described for integrated sharing of media playback interactions (MPIs). Responsive to consumer interactions with media content during playback of a media file, embodiments can produce MPIs corresponding to the consumer's changes in the playback presentation of the content. The MPIs can be associated with the media file as one or more sharable embedded MPIs (EMPIs). A consumer can share the media file with its associated EMPIs. When the same or a different consumer subsequently accesses the content from the media file, embodiments permit playback of the content with selective access to the EMPIs. For example, a first consumer can share media content with its associated EMPIs, thereby permitting a second consumer control over which portions of the media content are played back with and without experiencing the first consumer's EMPIs.
CATV device with resistive signal distribution network
The present invention is directed to a CATV & MoCA® device, such as a RF signal amplifier. The RF signal amplifier includes a RF input port to receive signals from, and transmit signals to, a service provider. The RF input port is connected to an active communication path with a downstream signal amplifier leading to an input of a resistive splitter network. The resistive splitter network has plural interconnected resistors, which split the amplified signal received at the input of the resistive splitter network and provide the signal to plural “CATV & MoCA®” output ports. Upstream CATV signals received by the “CATV & MoCA®” output ports are combined by the resistive splitter network and sent to the RF input port to be transmitted to the service provider. MoCA® signals received by any one of the “CATV & MoCA®” output ports are carried by the resistive splitter network to the other “CATV & MoCA®” output ports, and potentially to other “MoCA® only” ports of the RF signal amplifier.
Use of steganographically-encoded time information as basis to establish a time offset, to facilitate taking content-related action
A method and system for using steganographically-encoded time information as a basis to control when a client carries out a content-related action. The client processes for presentation one or more linear media streams, each defining a respective time sequence of frames of media content, and at least one of the streams being steganographically encoded with at least one watermark at a respective time-point within the linear media stream, the watermark encoding a timestamp of the respective time-point within the linear media stream according to a server clock. The client extracts the timestamp from the watermark and computes a time offset based on a difference between the extracted timestamp and a current time according to a client clock. And the client uses the computed time offset as a basis to determine when the client should carry out a content-related action in a given one of the one or more linear media streams.
Passive entry adapter system for a CATV network
A passive entry adapter system includes an external band rejection filter connected to an external network; an entry adapter connected to the external band rejection filter, an input port connecting the entry adapter to the external network; a directional coupler connected to the input port; a frequency-based signal separation device connected to a first terminal and comprising a high-pass terminal, and a low-pass terminal; a splitter connected to the high-pass terminal, where the splitter is configured to be connected to one or more first types of devices; and a broadband output port connected to a second terminal of the directional coupler. The broadband output is configured to be connected to one or more second types of devices. The entry adapter and the external band rejection filter are configured to prevent signals from a frequency band associated with in-network communications produced within an internal network from reaching the external network.
Reporting of engaged views of directed content
Technologies are provided for reporting engaged impressions of directed content. Some embodiments include a computing device that can initiate a screensaver session. The computing device also can cause presentation of a directed content asset on a display device functionally coupled to the computing device. The computing device can then update a queue to add a record of an impression of the directed content asset, where the queue is retained in a memory device of the computing device. The computing device can receive a signal indicative of user activity. The computing device can send, to an attribution server device, first data identifying one or more directed content assets corresponding to one or more records of the queue.
CABLE CONNECTION STRUCTURE
A cable connection structure is provided with an electronic component including electrodes on an electrode-forming surface, a cable including electric wires connected to the electrodes respectively, and a buried member which is composed of a cured resin and embedded with the electric wires. At least three electric wires are separating wires including separating regions being separated from each other in the normal direction as being distant from the electrode-forming surface. At least three electrodes are arranged side by side on a virtual circle. At least three separating wires are connected to the at least three electrodes. The separating regions of the at least three separating wires are provided to be located eccentric radially outwardly in the virtual circle as being distant from the electrode surface in the normal direction of the electrode-forming surface. An angle between the separating region and the normal direction of the electrode-forming surface is 10 degrees or more and 45 degrees or less.
