20220263651 · 2022-08-18 ·

Described are techniques for providing custody of digital assets with a high degree of assurance of a proof that private keys are kept secret and not in possession of entities that should not have access to such keys. The techniques include a deployed space-borne vehicle that includes a data processing node that generates a remote custody key (RCK) pair, the RCK pair including a private RCK key known only to the data processing node and a public RCK key, upon receiving an indication of the deployment to the space-borne location and that establishes a communication channel between the deployed space-borne vehicle and a terrestrial based system, with the communication channel authenticated by a physical, earth-based item that is remotely identifiable by the space-borne vehicle.

Methods and systems for management of a processing offloader

Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

Activating media function on particular media device at hospitality establishment utilizing passkey generated according to current time and identifier of the particular media device

A media system includes a plurality of set-top boxes coupled to a coax network and a controller. The controller displays a first passkey to a user in response to receiving a request from the user to activate playback of a media content on a particular set-top box. The set-top box receives the first passkey from the user and determines whether the user is authorized to activate playback of the media content by comparing the first passkey received from the user with a second passkey obtained from a passkey module on the set-top box. When the user is determined by the set-top box to be authorized to activate playback of the media content, the set-top box determines a radio frequency channel of the coax network according to the first passkey received from the user and begins playback of the media content received on the radio frequency channel on a display device.

Transmission method, reception method, transmission apparatus, and reception apparatus

A transmission method includes: generating one or more transfer frames that each store one or more streams used for content transfer; and transmitting the one or more generated frames through broadcast, each of the one or more streams storing one or more second transfer units, each of the one or more second transfer units storing one or more first transfer units, and each of the one or more first transfer units storing one or more Internet Protocol (IP) packets. In at least one stream among the one or more streams, each of the first transfer units positioned at a head contains reference clock information indicating time used for reproduction of the content.
