Method and system for changing allocation charts in a satellite broadcasting system
A broadcast system and method of changing allocations therein include a plurality of broadcast system components and a broadcast operation channel management system having a database. The broadcast operation channel management system generates a first allocation chart for the broadcast system with a first effective time and communicates at least a portion of the first allocation chart to the plurality of broadcast system components. The plurality of broadcast system components determines a local time and when the local time is equal to or greater than the effective time, operates with the first allocation chart. The broadcast operation channel management system generates a second allocation chart for the broadcast system with a second effective time. The broadcast operation channel management system communicates at least a portion of the second allocation chart to the plurality of broadcast system components. The plurality of broadcast system components operates with the second allocation chart when the local time is equal to or greater than the second effective time.

Method and system for displaying a sequence of images
The invention relates to a system and method for displaying and transmitting a sequence of images to listeners. The method comprises the following steps: transferring a sequence of images displayed to a transmitting device; transmitting by the transmitting device the images displayed in real time over a multicast wireless communication network, preferably WI-FI; receiving and displaying the images transmitted by a receiving device of the listener; optionally processing and/or annotating the images received by the listener on his device. The invention also relates to a system for the implementation of this method.
Methods for determining localized outages and distributed signal verification of set-top boxes
Embodiments disclose systems and methods for testing and determining outages of communication systems. A server can receive signal-reception-related information from set-top boxes (STBs) in a particular geographical region, where a STB: receives signals having a predefined pattern, generates a comparison of the predefined pattern to reference patterns stored on the STB, generates the signal-reception-related information based on the comparison, and sends the signal-reception-related information. The server can determine an outage status for the particular geographical region based on the signal-reception-related information. The server can generate an output based on the outage status. The output is configured to provide information related to the outage status of the particular geographical region and information for possible responses related to the outage status. The server can send the output.

Method and system for caching content for mobile distribution
Method and system are provided for mobile distribution of content received via satellite signals. A satellite reception assembly may comprise a receive module and a basestation module. The receive module may receive satellite signals, process the received satellite signals to recover data carried therein, determine when the recovered data comprises a portion for local wireless broadcast by the system, and if so generate broadcast signals for carrying the portion of recovered data. The basestation module may transmit the generated broadcast signals, particularly to a mobile device of a satellite subscriber authorized to receive and access the data carried in the satellite signals. The recovered data may comprise web-based content.
IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS, ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS INCLUDING IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS, MOBILE BODY INCLUDING IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS, IMAGE PICKUP UNIT, AND VIDEO PROCESSING UNIT
An image pickup apparatus includes, between a first unit including an image pickup device and a second unit including a video processing circuit, a waveguide path through which a millimeter wave or a submillimeter wave is transmitted, the second unit includes a millimeter-wave carrier-wave generation circuit and a demodulator configured to regenerate, from a millimeter-wave modulated wave generated by the first unit and received through the waveguide path, a video signal generated by the image pickup device, and the first unit includes a processing-transmission circuit configured to receive a millimeter-wave carrier wave through the waveguide path, generate a millimeter-wave modulated wave by superimposing the video signal generated by the image pickup device on the millimeter-wave carrier wave, and transmit the millimeter-wave modulated wave toward the waveguide path.
Video alternate network access points and receivers
Concepts and technologies for video alternate network access points and receivers that enable wireless delivery of video content to multiple customer premises over a service area are provided herein. In an embodiment, a system includes a satellite dish receiver that is configured to receive a satellite video feed, and a video alternate network access point that is communicatively coupled to the satellite dish receiver. The video alternate network access point can perform operations that ingest the satellite video feed directly from the satellite dish receiver. The operations can activate a microcell transceiver embedded within the video alternate network access point, and identify a multicast-broadcast single-frequency network channel. The operations can then transmit, to a video alternate network receiver device from the microcell transceiver, the satellite video feed over at least the multicast-broadcast single-frequency network channel.
