Cooling garments, warming garments, and related methods
The present disclosure generally relates to intelligent garments that provide thermal regulation in a variety of environments. The garments may include different layers such as a hydrophilic layer in direct contact with a wearer's skin surface and saturated with an aqueous mixture, a spacer layer, a reflective layer, and an outer hydrophobic layer. The layers of the garment may work together to reduce the metabolic expenditure of the wearer in extreme environmental conditions or during demanding physical activity. A variety of sensors may be displaced throughout the garments so as to enable the collection of data associated with wearers as well as environmental conditions. Wearers may control the thermal balance and other properties of the garments as desired.
FABRIC CONSTRUCTION WITH IMBEDDED FILTER
A garment which can be used as a face covering to reduce contamination by airborne contaminants comprises a first breathable fabric layer, a layer of flexible filter material and a second layer such that said layer of filter material in completely enclosed within said garment and positional over the users face.
Headgear system that includes easily coupled cap and outer head covering and that helps to protect against vision obstruction
A head covering system comprises a cap as an inner component and an outer head covering that cooperate to help protect the head from the elements but helps to protect against vision obstruction when the head is moved. A headgear system comprises a cap having a head engaging portion and a visor that engages and moves with the head of the user. An outer covering fits over the cap and at least a portion of the head of the user comprises head covering portion, an optionally a neck covering portion, and a bill attached to the head covering portion.
Bag with Interchangeable Elements
A bag with interchangeable elements for holding objects includes a detachable front panel, a central hollow compartment, a detachable back panel, a detachable hood, and at least two shoulder straps. The detachable front panel includes a fastening member positioned along a perimeter of the detachable front panel for fastening the detachable front panel to the central hollow compartment. The central hollow compartment accommodates multiple objects, for example, books, etc. The central hollow compartment includes fastening members positioned along opposing perimeters of the central hollow compartment. The detachable back panel includes a fastening member, positioned along a perimeter of the detachable back panel for fastening the detachable back panel to the central hollow compartment. The detachable hood includes at least two fastening members for fastening the detachable hood to the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps are attached to the detachable back panel and include fastening members for removably attaching the detachable hood.
Balaclava hood system
A disposable aspirated inflatable safety protection balaclava hood system and apparatus designed to protect the human head and neck from injury resulting from sports impacts with a crash sensor arrangement in which acceleration, angular, rotational, extension or flexion motion resulting from an impact force requires deployment of an apparatus protection device. The method embodies an inherent bladder airbag system that is deployed with resulting impact force on the sensor arrangement using an actuation mechanism and an inflation interconnected bladder system, or tube(s) resulting in release of the inert compressed inert gas in a cartridge actuation mechanism using a triggering mechanism, which is held in an interior pocket of the hood resulting in aspiration of the inflatable safety bladder protection hood.
MODULAR FACE MASK
A mask for protecting a head with a face having a nose, mouth, and chin. The mask includes a mask module. The mask module includes an exterior surface and an interior surface. The mask module is sized and shaped to cover a portion of the face. A head module engages the mask module. The head module is configured to engage at least a portion of a user's head.
MODIFIED BASEBALL HAT
A modified baseball hat that includes a semi-hemispherically shaped crown that includes an exterior surface, an interior surface, a first front panel that includes a first opening, a second front panel that includes a second opening, a first side panel that includes a first loop attached to an interior surface of the crown near the first side panel, and a second side panel that includes a second loop attached to an interior surface of the crown near the second side panel, a bill attached to the crown, and a band member extending through the first opening, the second opening, the first loop, and the second loop.
Transport hood having perforations
A transport hood protects conveying personnel from exposure to blood and body fluids of a detainee and avoids discomfort and breathing difficulty to the detainee if the blood and body fluids accumulate and are retained within the transport hood. The transport hood includes a top portion made of an open mesh material that is positioned over the head of the detainee to below the eyes of the detainee. A bottom portion made of a breathable material impervious to the blood and body fluids of the detainee is joined to the top portion below the eyes of the detainee and extends downwardly to below the chin of the detainee. The bottom portion has a plurality of perforations formed through the breathable material that allow the blood and body fluids issued by the detainee to drain from the bottom portion of the transport hood under the influence of gravity.
Combination knitted hat and earphone assembly
Combination knitted hat and earphone assembly includes knitted hat including double-knitted bucket portion of elastic fabric defining therein head-receiving space for putting onto the user's head, brim portion extended from the bucket portion around the head-receiving space of the knitted hat and two storage pockets disposed inside the double-knitted bucket portion and respectively defined therein storage chamber and opening, and earphone set including two earphone speakers respectively inserted through the openings into the storage chambers of the storage pockets and two transmission wires extended from the earphone speakers and terminating in respective electrical signal input end for connection to control device that is mounted in the folded brim portion outside the double-knitted bucket portion, or external mobile electronic device being carried by the user. Thus, the user can use the earphone set to listen to music when the knitted hat is put on the head to keep the head warm.
INTEGRATED GARMENT AND CONFIGURABLE BODY SUPPORT SYSTEM
A jacket or anorak suitable for day-to-day use is integrated with a selectively deployable configurable body support system. A support section comprising resilient, substantially parallel transverse members extends across a back area of the jacket perpendicular to an axis substantially parallel to a spine of the user. The transverse members are non-inflatable, inflatable with a portable pump, or self-inflatable. Removable flexible rods extend axially along opposite transverse sides of the support section. The flexible rods are each a lamellar structure operable to provide a first or a second degree of stiffness. The support section is removably secured within the garment. Leg support sections are stored in front sections of the jacket or anorak. The leg sections are removable and may be releasably secured to a lower end of the back support section, with the back support section and leg support sections being supported to a substrate.
