HOOD CINCH SYSTEM
A garment that includes a body and a hood. The hood has a hood cinch system that allows the hood to be gathered or cinched to a back portion adjacent a base of the hood when the hood is not deployed. By activating the hood cinch system, the movement of the hood in the wind or breeze is reduced, thus providing a less distracting experience during certain sports played outside. For example, when taking a golf shot, the cinched down hood is less likely to cause a distraction and result in a mishit.

DIRECTIONAL LOCK FOR INTERFACE HEADGEAR ARRANGEMENT
A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly comprising one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock has a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement has a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.

Apparatus Utilizing Smart Fabrics for Providing Protection of the Head and Brain from Injury in Six Degrees of Freedom
A compression garment, which may be hooded, that reduces the incidence of concussions and/or traumatic brain injuries for athletes, adventurists (i.e., competitive athletes and recreational athletes), military members, law enforcement officers, and professionals working in dangerous environments is disclosed. The garment mitigates concussions/traumatic brain injuries by reducing both the linear and rotational accelerations and velocities of the head with the rotational acceleration/velocity being most targeted. The garment uses a combination of compression fabric, smart fabrics and shear thickening fluid to achieve this goal. By reducing these accelerations and velocities, the garment is able to lessen the shear stress and pressure on the brain, thereby reducing brain injuries.
