PROJECTOR AND IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD
A projector is provided with: an image processing unit that image-processes inputted image signals; an image display element, to which the image signals image-processed by means of the image processing unit are inputted, and which generates an optical image; and a projection optical system that projects, to a projection surface, the optical image generated by means of the image display element. The image processing unit has an image correction unit for reducing blurring of an image to be projected by means of the projection optical system, and the image correction unit changes the black luminance level of the image signals.

Laser device and method for a vehicle
A laser illumination or dazzler device and method. More specifically, examples of the present invention provide laser illumination or dazzling devices power by one or more violet, blue, or green laser diodes characterized by a wavelength from about 390 nm to about 550 nm. In some examples the laser illumination or dazzling devices include a laser pumped phosphor wherein a laser beam with a first wavelength excites a phosphor member to emit electromagnetic at a second wavelength. In various examples, laser illumination or dazzling devices according to the present invention include polar, non-polar, or semi-polar laser diodes. In a specific example, a single laser illumination or dazzling device includes a plurality of violet, blue, or green laser diodes. There are other examples as well.
Color adjustment apparatus, image display apparatus, and color adjustment method
Color of a color image may be adjusted by a color adjustment apparatus, image display apparatus, and color adjustment method to enable easier distinction between objects shown in the image. A parameter defines a range of saturation to be adjusted within saturation before color adjustment and a range of change of the saturation after color adjustment compared to the saturation before color adjustment. The color adjustment apparatus calculates the saturation from an image signal, calculates the saturation after color adjustment according to the saturation before color adjustment such that the saturation in the range determined by the parameter increases/decreases by an amount determined by the parameter, and generates an image signal from the saturation after color change. By determining the parameter such that the saturation difference between prescribed colors is greater after color adjustment, the difference in color between a plurality of objects shown in the image is increased.

Color gamut mapping device, tuning method thereof, and image processor
The disclosure relates to a color gamut mapping device that allows a gamma characteristic for each color to be tuned to match a target gamma curve through color gamut mapping, a tuning method thereof, and an image processor including the same. The color gamut mapping device controls a hue and saturation of an image signal to match a target color gamut using a hue parameter assigned to each of a plurality of hue axes and a saturation parameter assigned to correspond to each of a plurality of saturation control areas of each hue axis, and the color gamut mapping device changes the saturation of the image signal by changing the saturation parameter which is assigned to each hue axis and corresponds to the uppermost saturation control area so that a gamma characteristic for each color of the image signal is changed to match a target gamma curve for each color.
MACROPIXEL PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD AND ARTICLE
A digital image processing circuit processes macro-pixels of a digital image. A gain control parameter of each pixel of the macro-pixel of the digital image is determined based on a location of the pixel in the digital image. Relative pixel positions of the pixels of the macro-pixel are determined, the relative pixel positions representing pixel positions with respect to color grids. A gain value of each pixel of the macro-pixel is determined based on the relative pixel positions. The gain values are modified based on the gain control parameters. The modified gains are applied to the pixels of the macro-pixel.
