Various aspects of a systems and method for reconstructing a surface of a three-dimensional (3D) target are disclosed herein. The method may comprise projecting a sequence of patterns to the surface of the target; capturing a first stereo endoscopic image and a second stereo endoscopic image from the patterns reflected from the surface; performing a coarse matching for the captured first and second stereo endoscopic images to acquire a set of matching candidates; and performing a precise matching for the acquired set of matching candidates to acquire reconstruction pixels for reconstructing the surface.
Video processing method and apparatus for use with a sequence of stereoscopic images
To generate a warning that a stereoscopic image sequence has been synthesised from a 2D image sequence, a video processor correlates left-eye image data and right-eye image data to identify any sustained temporal offset between the left-eye and right-eye image data. A measure of sustained correlation between a measured spatial distribution of horizontal disparity and a spatial model can also be used to generate the warning.

An electronic device and a method for a tiled video multi-channel playback are disclosed. The electronic device includes a device communication unit and a device controller. The device communication unit establishes a communication channel with a streaming server. The device controller can detect a region of interest (ROI) of an image related to a media presentation description (MPD) tile provided by the streaming server, transmit ROI information to the streaming server and receive tiles of a tiled video having a first resolution and corresponding to the ROI information, a full video having a second resolution lower than the first resolution, and a plurality of 2D videos from the streaming server. The device controller can also generate a 360-degree VR video by synthesizing the video tiles and the full video, and control a simultaneous playback of the generated 360-degree VR video and the plurality of 2D videos.
