Information processing device, communication system, information processing method
Provided is an image that is comfortably viewed and operated by a user. An electronic device acquires user information related to a relative position between a user and a display unit. Then, the electronic device transmits the user information to an information processing device. The information processing device includes a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit receives the user information related to the relative position of the user and a display unit which is acquired by the electronic device from the electronic device. Further, the control unit performs control to decide a display mode of an image transmitted from a source device on the display unit on the basis of the user information received from the electronic device.
Computer implemented methods for determining a dimension of a gap between an aerofoil and a surface of an engine casing
A computer implemented method of determining a dimension of a gap between an edge of an aerofoil and a surface of an engine casing, the method comprising: receiving data; generating a three dimensional model of the surface of the engine casing from the received data; identifying the edge of the aerofoil in the received data; determining a three dimensional position of a first location along the edge of the aerofoil in the received data using the identified edge; and determining a distance between the determined three dimensional position of the first location and the three dimensional model of the surface of the engine casing using an algorithm.

Holographic technology implemented security solution
Disclosed are techniques that use mixed reality, e.g., augmented reality and virtual reality technologies to improve analysis of security situations as well as retail processes and activity in retail stores. For security these techniques merge the physical world embodied in security systems with the virtual world of policies and analytics. In the retail aspect, these techniques merge the physical world of retail items, displays, and spaces with the virtual world of policies and analytics.
METHODS FOR A HERMETICALLY SEALED ENDOSCOPE
In one embodiment, a method for a stereo endoscope includes receiving electromagnetic radiation through an inner protective window; focusing the electromagnetic radiation with a left optical component toward a left pixel array of a stereo image sensor along an optical axis of the left optical component parallel with but offset from a center axis of the left pixel array; and focusing the electromagnetic radiation with a right optical component toward a right pixel array of the stereo image sensor along an optical axis of the right optical component parallel with but offset from a center axis of the right pixel array. The left pixel array and the right pixel array are offset from the center optical axis of the stereo endoscope to provide stereo image convergence.
IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGING METHOD, AND IMAGING SYSTEM
To provide an image analyzing technology capable of obtaining an image with less shading and with enough speckle contrast. An imaging apparatus includes: a light source that irradiates an imaging object with coherent light with a first irradiation condition and a second irradiation condition; a speckle imaging unit that captures a first speckle image obtained from scattered light of the imaging object irradiate at the first irradiation condition, and a second speckle image obtained from scattered light of the imaging object irradiate at the second irradiation condition; and an information processing unit that separates speckle images at boundaries of average luminance difference formed in the first speckle image and the second speckle image, connecting the separaged speckle images at the boundaries, and analyzes the combined speckle combined image.
Three-dimensional scanning device using structured light
A three-dimensional scanning device including: a projection unit for projecting a wide-area pattern and a local pattern on an object to be measured; an image acquisition unit for acquiring an image of the object on which the wide-area pattern and the local pattern are projected; a detection unit for detecting the locations of a plurality of first IDs that are identifiers formed in the shape that can be distinguished utilizing image information in a space within a certain range in the image of the object, on which the wide-area pattern is projected, acquired by the image acquisition unit; a collection unit for collecting data on a brightness value within a predetermined certain distance with respect to the center point of the detected first ID; and an operation unit for determining a first ID value of the first ID using information of the collection unit.
METHOD TO DETERMINE IMPAIRED ABILITY TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method and system for determining if an individual is impaired. In one embodiment, physical and cognitive testing of the individual are conducted in the field or at the scene of an event. The test results are compared to previously stored baseline test results taken for the specific individual while the individual is known to be in an unimpaired state or condition. The current test results are electronically compared to the baseline test results and if the results differ or deviate beyond a predetermined level or amount the individual is considered to be impaired. If no baseline test results exist for the specific individual, the current test results can alternatively be compared to previously determined or known scientifically accepted or minimums for the specific tests given to the individual.
Head-mounted display, display control method, and program
There are provided a head-mounted display, a display control method, and a program for changing the position of the image of an object near the optical axis of a camera in an image displayed on a display section. A camera control section controls the direction of the optical axis of the camera capturing an image of what is ahead of the display section disposed in front of the user's eyes. A display control section causes the display section to display a partial image cut out from the image captured by the camera, the partial image constituting a portion corresponding to the optical axis direction of the camera.
