Telepresence through OTA VR broadcast streams
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. Telepresence is provided through over-the-air (OTA) virtual reality (VR) broadcast streams.
OCULAR OPTICAL SYSTEM, MEDICAL VIEWER, AND MEDICAL VIEWER SYSTEM
The purpose is to provide a higher-quality three-dimensional image with a downsized optical system that does not need interpupillary adjustment. An ocular optical system according to the present disclosure includes, on an optical path viewed from an observer side, at least: a first polarization member; a mirror; a second polarization member; and an image display device in this order. A polarized state in the first polarization member and a polarized state in the second polarization member are orthogonal to each other.
3D PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS, 3D PHOTOGRAPHING METHOD AND 3D DISPLAY TERMINAL
A photographing apparatus, a 3D photographing method, a 3D display terminal apparatus, a computer-readable storage medium, and a computer program product are provided. The photographing apparatus, comprises at least three cameras, wherein a first camera of the at least three cameras is taken as a center, and the remaining cameras of the at least three cameras are arranged at a periphery of the first camera; connecting lines between the remaining cameras and the first camera form at least one right angle; and any two of the at least three cameras are capable of photographing a 3D image by cooperation. The 3D photographing apparatus ensures a 3D photographing effect after change in postures of the cameras.

ELECTRONIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING PANORAMIC LIGHT FIELDS
An electronic system for generating panoramic light fields is provided. The electronic system includes a camera, a depth estimation circuit, and a light field generation circuit. The camera is configured to capture a panoramic image of a scene. The depth estimation circuit is configured to estimate panoramic depth information of the scene based on the panoramic image captured by the camera. The light field generation circuit is configured to generate a panoramic light field based on the estimated panoramic depth information.
NEAR-EYE LIGHT-FIELD DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING LIGHT FIELD
A near-eye light-field display apparatus is provided, which includes a display module, a first lens module, an aperture device, and a second lens module. The display module displays light-field data. The first lens module collimates light rays emitted from the display module. The aperture device generates a plurality of coded apertures. The collimated light rays are modulated by the coded apertures. The second lens module focuses the modulated light rays on an image plane to form a real image.
IMMERSIVE DISPLAY AND METHOD OF OPERATING IMMERSIVE DISPLAY FOR REAL-WORLD OBJECT ALERT
An immersive display and a method of operating the immersive display to provide information relating to an object. The method includes receiving information from an input device of the immersive display or coupled to the immersive display, detecting an object based on the information received from the input device, and displaying a representation of the object on images displayed on a display of the immersive display such that attributes of the representation distinguish the representation from the images displayed on the display, wherein the representation is displayed at a location on the display that corresponds with a location of the object.

Context-sensitive remote eyewear controller
Context-sensitive remote controls for use with electronic devices (e.g., eyewear device). The electronic device is configured to perform activities (e.g., email, painting, navigation, gaming). The context-sensitive remote control includes a display having a display area, a display driver coupled to the display, and a transceiver. The remote control additionally includes memory that stores controller layout configurations for display in the display area of the display by the display driver. A processor in the context-sensitive remote control is configured to establish, via the transceiver, communication with an electronic device, detect an activity currently being performed by the electronic device, select one of the controller layout configurations responsive to the detected activity, and present, via the display driver, the selected controller layout configuration in the display area of the display.
IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHODS DISPLAYING A FUSED MULTIDIMENSIONAL RECONSTRUCTED IMAGE
A system, method, and apparatus for displaying a fused reconstructed image with a multidimensional image are disclosed. An example imaging system receives a selection corresponding to a portion of a displayed multidimensional visualization of a surgical site. At the selected portion of the multidimensional visualization, the imaging system displays a portion of a three-dimensional image which corresponds to the selected multidimensional visualization such that the displayed portion of the at least one of the three-dimensional image or model is fused with the displayed multidimensional visualization.
