NO REFERENCE REALTIME VIDEO QUALITY ASSESSMENT
A method for video quality assessment implemented by a computing device, where the method includes selecting a first set of frames from an input video source, determining features of the first set of frames for input into a first machine learning model, applying the first machine learning model to the features of the first set of frames to obtain a video quality score and a confidence score, and triggering a retraining of the first machine learning model in response to the confidence score being determined to be out of bounds.
TEST CARD AND TEST DISPLAY ADAPTER
A test card and a test display adapter are disclosed. The test card includes an assembling plate and an electrical heat source. The electrical heat source is provided on the assembling plate. The electrical heat source includes a first heat transfer plate, a second heat transfer plate and at least one heat source element. The first heat transfer plate is stacked on the assembling plate, and the second heat transfer plate is laminated over the first heat transfer plate, with the heat source element being sandwiched between the first and second heat transfer plates. The test card and the test display adapter have a wide variety of advantages including very low cost, easy material availability, a short wait time, easy manufacturability, a long service life, easy modifiability and good interoperability.
Estimation method for signal quality indicator of advanced television systems committee standards
An estimation method suitable for a receiver and includes the following steps: calculating a relative signal-to-noise ratio, and determining whether the relative signal-to-noise ratio is higher than, lower than or within a threshold range; in response to determining that the relative signal-to-noise ratio is higher than the threshold range, estimating the signal quality indicator as a first preset value, wherein the first preset value represents a best signal quality; in response to determining that the relative signal-to-noise ratio is higher than the threshold range, estimating the signal quality indicator as a first preset value, wherein the first preset value represents a best signal quality; in response to determining that the relative signal-to-noise ratio is within the threshold range, estimating the signal quality indicator as an output value of a function according to a bit error rate, wherein an input value of the function is the relative signal-to-noise ratio.
ATSC BOUNDARY CONDITION FALL OVER TO INTERNET
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. A receiver, to automatically switch from presenting a service on a first frequency to a second frequency such as when a mobile receiver is moving through a boundary region between two broadcasters, can temporarily use a satellite link or 5G wireless telephony or other over the top (OTT) source to acquire a service until an OTA link satisfies quality requirements.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ARCHITECTURE
A cable distribution system includes a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network that provides data suitable for the plurality of customer devices. A traffic monitoring system receives from a customer support device a first data request for a parameter of one of the plurality of customer devices. The traffic monitoring system provides a second data request for the parameter of the one of said plurality of customer devices to a customer premise equipment management system in response to receiving the first data request. The traffic monitoring system receiving a first data response including the parameter from the customer premise equipment management system in response to providing the second data request to the customer premise equipment management system. The traffic monitoring system providing a second data response including the parameter from the traffic management system to the customer support device in response to receiving the first data response.
VIDEO PLAYING
A method of video playing is provided. An implementation solution is: obtaining a video playing address list from a video management server, where the video playing address list includes playing links of real-time video streams of a plurality of monitoring cameras; obtaining the real-time video streams of the plurality of monitoring cameras from the video management server according to the video playing address list so as to be played on a screen; obtaining a historical video stream of at least one of the monitoring cameras from a video storage server so as to be played on the screen in response to detecting fault information which indicates that the real-time video stream of the at least one of the monitoring cameras cannot be played; and recording the fault information, where the fault information includes the playing link of the real-time video stream of the at least one of the monitoring cameras.
Frozen image detection
Aspects of the disclosure provide for a method. In some examples, the method includes receiving a video stream comprising multiple frames, analyzing the video stream to compare data values representing an image pixel at a specified location in a first of the frames to data values representing an image pixel at the specified location in a second of the frames, determining that the video stream is frozen responsive to the data values representing the image pixel at the specified location in the first of the frames being the same as the data values representing the image pixel at the specified location in the second of the frames, and taking action responsive to determining that the video stream is frozen.
CROSS-VALIDATION OF VIDEO ENCODING
In some embodiments, a method receives a current encoding stream of a video. A first measurement for a reference encoding stream is selected to measure a quality of the reference encoding stream. The method compares a second measurement of the current encoding stream to the first measurement of the reference encoding stream and outputs whether the current encoding stream is validated based on the comparing.
Resonant testing system and resonant testing method
A resonant testing system for testing a device under test, including a processing circuit, a microphone array and a camera is disclosed. The processing circuit generates a scanning frequency signal and transmits the scanning frequency signal to the device under test, which plays sound based on the scanning frequency signal. The microphone array includes several microphones, each of the microphones receives the sound played by the device under test, and the microphone array outputs several audio signals corresponding to the microphones. The camera captures a real time image signal of the device under test, and transmits the real time image signal to the processing circuit. The processing circuit computes resonant positions and resonant levels according to the audio signals, and combines the resonant positions, the resonant levels and the real time image signal to generate a real time resonant result. A resonance testing method is disclosed.
Digital television rendering verification
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. Test code is embedded in ATSC 3.0 content to determine whether a receiver can render the content. The results are reported back to the broadcaster, which can alter content or perform other modifications based on aggregated rendering statistics.
