Some aspects of the disclosure relate to a system and methods for monitoring an audio signal that may comprise one or more device audio components, e.g., from a device presenting content and an ambient audio component. The system can determine the ambient audio component of the audio signal, and can determine whether the ambient audio component has satisfied an ambient audio component threshold. If the ambient audio component threshold has been satisfied, the system can cause the device to display a visual representation of the device audio component, such as presenting text corresponding to speech of the audio component.

In various embodiments, a training application generates a perceptual video model. The training application computes a first feature value for a first feature included in a feature vector based on a first color component associated with a first reconstructed training video. The training application also computes a second feature value for a second feature included in the feature vector based on a first brightness component associated with the first reconstructed training video. Subsequently, the training application performs one or more machine learning operations based on the first feature value, the second feature value, and a first subjective quality score for the first reconstructed training video to generate a trained perceptual quality model. The trained perceptual quality model maps a feature value vector for the feature vector to a perceptual quality score.
AUTOMATIC VIDEO COMPARISON OF THE OUTPUT OF A VIDEO DECODER
The automatic video comparison system for measuring the quality of decoded data described herein provides a method for measuring the quality of decoded data at the level of sub-units of a unit of data, for instance at the level of sub-blocks of a video frame. The system can therefore locate defects that may not otherwise be detected by an automated system that measures quality at the level of the entire frame. Processing encoded media is computationally intensive, thus the automatic video comparison system uses a distributed computing system in order to distribute the computations across many compute resources that are capable of operating in parallel.
Systems, methods and apparatus for transmitting data over a voice channel of a wireless telephone network
The various embodiments described herein generally provide apparatus, systems and methods which facilitate the transmission of data between a client device and a remote device over a wireless telephone network. More particularly, data from a client device is modulated into an audio signal and transmitted to a wireless telephone. The wireless telephone receives the audio signal and places a phone call to a remote device over a wireless telephone network. During the phone call, the wireless telephone transmits the audio signal across a voice channel of the wireless telephone network to the remote device. The remote device receives and decodes the audio signal to extract the transmitted data.
Full reference image quality assessment based on convolutional neural network
Embodiments generally relate to providing systems and methods for assessing image quality of a distorted image relative to a reference image. In one embodiment, the system comprises a convolutional neural network that accepts as an input the distorted image and the reference image, and provides as an output a metric of image quality. In another embodiment, the method comprises inputting the distorted image and the reference image to a convolutional neural network configured to process the distorted image and the reference image and provide as an output a metric of image quality.

A method for audio and video synchronization, includes: receiving audio data sent by the video player, wherein the audio data includes more than one audio sampling points; obtaining a network delay change between the audio player and the video player, wherein the network delay change refers to a time difference between the network delay monitored for the first time and the network delay monitored for the last time; determining a total amount of audio data to be adjusted according to the network delay change; and adding audio sampling points to the received audio data or deleting audio sampling points from the received audio data according to the total amount of audio data to be adjusted and a preset adjustment strategy, so that the audio player is synchronized with the video player, and playing the added or deleted audio data.

A source and a drain in each organic TFT are short-circuited to each other, a voltage is turned on and turned off in a predetermined period between this and a gate, and images before and after application of the voltage are captured in synchronization with the predetermined period while radiating monochromatic light, to obtain a differential image.

The present subject matter relates to data storage in a computing system. In an example, the computing system includes a projector unit including a projector memory. The projector memory may store calibration data pertaining to a plurality of components of the computing system in the projector memory. The plurality of components may include the projector unit and a display unit. Hence a method is provided for determining a quality value of a video stream, comprising the steps of: identifying lost data packets of the video stream; identifying at least two intra coded frames of the video stream; determining intra coded frames having a maintained image quality, based on estimating if a lost data packet is associated with an intra coded frame; estimating a distance between each one of the lost data packets and a next respective, subsequent intra coded frame having a maintained image quality; and generating the quality value, based on the distances.
