20210185299 · 2021-06-17 ·

The invention relates to a method for calibrating color components of the sensors of a multi-camera device. The method comprises capturing images by more than one sensor of a multi-camera device (910); creating a pool of images of the captured images (920); extracting a first set of color correction parameters utilizing the pool of images (930); extracting a second set of color correction parameters utilizing the pool of images, wherein the second set of color correction parameters has the smallest errors relative to the first set of color correction parameters (940); and calibrating color components of said more than one sensors of the multi-camera device according to the second set of color correction parameters (950).

Use of simultaneously received videos by a system to generate a quality of experience value

A primary video and a second instance of a reference video can be simultaneously transmitted to a system through at least a first node of a communication network, the second instance of the reference video configured to be compared to a first instance of the reference video stored by the system to generate at least one quality of experience (QoE) value that infers a perceptual quality of the primary video as received by the system. The QoE value can be received from the system. A determination can be made as to whether the QoE value is less than a threshold value. Responsive to determining that the QoE value is less than the threshold value, the perceptual quality of the primary video can be improved by allocating greater bandwidth for transmission of the primary video.

COMPENSATION DEVICE FOR LUMINANCE UNIFORMITY AND METHOD THEREOF

Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a compensation device of luminance uniformity and a controlling method thereof, more particularly, to a technology of predicting a level of maximum luminance value that is changed in compensating luminance uniformity of an image displayed on a display apparatus and providing it to a user.

A compensation device of luminance uniformity according to an embodiment includes a data acquirer configured to acquire a luminance value of an image displayed on a display apparatus; a controller configured to determine a maximum luminance value and a minimum luminance value among the acquired luminance values, and determine luminance uniformity of the minimum luminance value based on the maximum luminance value, and determine a change amount of the maximum luminance value to be adjusted in order to change the determined luminance uniformity; and a display configured to display the change amount of the maximum luminance value adjusted to change the luminance uniformity, and the luminance uniformity that is changed in response to the change amount of the maximum luminance value.

Method for chromatic calibration of an embedded camera of a mobile wireless device

Chromatic calibration of a device having an embedded camera proceeds by illuminating a plurality of color references with at least one light source. Images of the respective illuminated color references are captured with the embedded camera. Color calibration data from are determined from the captured images and the color calibration data are stored in association with an identifier of the device.

Image quality detection and correction system

A method and instructions for operating an image quality system can comprise: obtaining an original image; sensing a subsequent image with an image-capturing device, comprising: testing a focus of the subsequent image with the image-capturing device implementing a blur test, informing a user to retake the subsequent image based on the subsequent image failing the blur test, evaluating a histogram for the subsequent image, informing the user to retake the subsequent image based on the histogram including a value exceeding a saturation threshold, and informing the user to retake the subsequent image based on the histogram including the value exceeding an underexposure threshold; compressing the histogram with an adjustment curve; and color matching the subsequent image to the original image.

Multiple camera system with auto recalibration

A method for a computing device to recalibrate a multiple camera system includes collecting calibration data from one or more pictures captured by the multiple camera system of the computing device. The multiple camera system includes two or more cameras that are each physically separated by a distance from one another. The method further includes detecting decalibration of the camera system. The method further includes, when the camera system is decalibrated, generating recalibration parameters based on the calibration data. The method further includes determining whether the recalibration parameters are valid parameters and, when they are, updating the multiple camera system based on the recalibration parameters.

System and method for identifying b-roll conditions in live streams or live rendered content

A video stream management system includes a video controller that live renders video. Moreover, the video stream management system also includes a display that is communicatively coupled to the video controller and displays a primary video feed that includes the live rendered video. The video controller, the display, or a combination thereof, embeds a pixel pattern in the primary video feed. Additionally, the video feed management system monitors one or more displayed images on the display to identify an error in the primary video feed.
