Image processing device and method
The present disclosure relates to an image processing device and method that allow reduction in coding efficiency to be suppressed. A pixel value of a chroma component is predicted by linear prediction from a pixel value of a reference image of a luma component whose pixel location is changed by using a filter, and a prediction image of the chroma component is generated. A chroma component of encoded data in which an image is encoded is decoded by using the generated prediction image. The filter is selected on a basis of information regarding a pixel location of the chroma component and information regarding a color format. The present disclosure is applicable, for example, to an image processing device, an image encoding device, an image decoding device, or the like.

A media encoder for encoding a stream of media data blocks has an encoder pipeline including a sequence of processing modules for processing a stream of media data blocks, and a pipeline configurator configured effect a switch in the encoder pipeline from one or more first encode parameters to one or more second encode parameters. The first processing module of the pipeline can be configured to associate a trigger value with at least a first media data block processed at the first processing module in accordance with second encode parameters, the trigger value passing to subsequent modules so as to cause those modules to adopt the second encode parameters.

A decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present specification comprises the steps of: deriving a reconstructed picture on the basis of image information obtained from a bitstream; deriving a target boundary for deblocking filtering in the reconstructed picture; and deriving a modified reconstructed picture for the reconstructed picture by performing deblocking filtering on the basis of the length of the deblocking filter for the target boundary, wherein the deriving the modified reconstructed picture may comprise a step of determining the maximum filter length of the deblocking filter on the basis of the position of the target boundary in the reconstructed picture.
DEBLOCKING FILTERING METHOD AND APPARATUS IN VIDEO/IMAGE CODING SYSTEM
A decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present specification comprises the steps of: deriving a reconstructed picture on the basis of image information obtained from a bitstream; deriving a target boundary for deblocking filtering in the reconstructed picture; and deriving a modified reconstructed picture for the reconstructed picture by performing deblocking filtering on the basis of the length of the deblocking filter for the target boundary, wherein the deriving the modified reconstructed picture may comprise a step of determining the maximum filter length of the deblocking filter on the basis of the position of the target boundary in the reconstructed picture.
VIDEO PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE USING RESOLUTION OF REFERENCE PICTURE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
Disclosed herein are a video processing method, apparatus and storage medium using the resolution of a reference picture. Filtering is performed based on resolutions of reference pictures of blocks forming a boundary. The resolutions of the reference pictures may define filtering. Depending on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, one or more filter selection parameters for filtering may be determined or updated. Further, based on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, the boundary strength of the filter may be determined. Because filtering is defined using the resolutions of reference pictures, performance of encoding and/or decoding may be improved.
VIDEO PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE USING RESOLUTION OF REFERENCE PICTURE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
Disclosed herein are a video processing method, apparatus and storage medium using the resolution of a reference picture. Filtering is performed based on resolutions of reference pictures of blocks forming a boundary. The resolutions of the reference pictures may define filtering. Depending on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, one or more filter selection parameters for filtering may be determined or updated. Further, based on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, the boundary strength of the filter may be determined. Because filtering is defined using the resolutions of reference pictures, performance of encoding and/or decoding may be improved.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CODING VIDEO DATA
A method of decoding a bitstream by an electronic device is provided. The electronic device receives the bitstream. In addition, the electronic device determines a block unit from an image frame according to the bitstream and selects a plurality of intra candidate modes from a plurality of intra default modes for the block unit. The electronic device further generates a template prediction for each of the plurality of intra candidate modes, selects a plurality of prediction modes from the plurality of intra candidate modes based on the template predictions, and reconstructs the block unit based on the plurality of prediction modes.
Planar prediction mode
New intra planar modes are introduced for predicting digital video data. As part of the new intra planar modes, various methods are offered for predicting a first sample within a prediction unit, where the first sample is needed for referencing to when processing the new intra planar modes. And once the first sample is successfully predicted, the new intra planar modes are able to predict a sample of video data within the prediction unit by processing a bi-linear interpolation of four previously reconstructed reference samples.
