A method that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, accessing, by a system comprising a processor, a content display configuration corresponding to a plurality of feed selections from a plurality of media content feeds, a plurality of display selections from a plurality of available displays, and a plurality of pairing selections assigning each feed selection of the plurality of feed selections to at least one display selection of the plurality of display selections, and transmitting a plurality of displayable content streams according to the content display configuration. An apparatus with a selector input device to transmit media content items comprises a camera with a camera lens and an image sensor, a communication interface, and a selector input device. The apparatus can also comprise a processor and a memory having instructions stored thereon, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations comprising detecting activation of the selector input device. In response to detecting the activation, the processor can capture a media content item via the camera and transmit, via the communication interface, the media content item to a client device. An architecture to assemble and manage usage information and populate one or more panels in an intelligent TV. The architecture includes a usage statistics provider module adapted to assemble one or more of usage information and installation information and query the one or more of usage information and installation information to populate one or more of icons and information in a view or panel on the intelligent TV. The architecture further includes a panel manager adapted to assemble the one or more of icons and information into a requested view. A display controller displays the view on a display of the intelligent TV. A silo manager sorts information in at least one panel subcategory based at least on the one or more of usage information and installation information, where the at least one subpanel panel includes a plurality of icons each representing an app or content.

Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for selectively obscuring a rendering of a media stream. In one implementation, the method includes receiving a request to render the media stream. The media stream is accessed through a first media source. A content identifier is identified for an event within the requested media stream. Based upon the content identifier, it may be discovered that the event is accessible through at least one second media source. The rendering of the requested media stream may then be obscured and a notification provided to a user that the event within the requested media stream is accessible through at least one second media source.

Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for selectively obscuring a rendering of a media stream. In one implementation, the method includes receiving a request to render the media stream. The media stream is accessed through a first media source. A content identifier is identified for an event within the requested media stream. Based upon the content identifier, it may be discovered that the event is accessible through at least one second media source. The rendering of the requested media stream may then be obscured and a notification provided to a user that the event within the requested media stream is accessible through at least one second media source.

A satellite reception assembly may include a housing configured to support receipt and handling of a plurality of satellite signals. The housing may include circuitry incorporating integrated stacking architecture for supporting and/or providing channel and/or band stacking whereby particular channels or bands, from multiple satellite signals that are received via the satellite reception assembly, may be combined onto a single output signal that may be communicated from the satellite reception assembly to a gateway device for concurrent distribution thereby to a plurality of client devices serviced by the gateway device.

A method is implemented at a server system for controlling play of media content on a media output system by voice. The server system receives a voice message via an electronic device, and determines that the voice message includes a media play request having a user voice command to play media content and a user voice designation of a media output system. In accordance with the voice designation, the server system identifies in a device registry the media output system that is associated with the electronic device in the virtual user domain. The server system then sends to the identified media output system another media play request including information of a media play application and information of the media content requested to be played, thereby enabling the media output system to execute the media play application that controls the media output system to play the requested media content.

A method is implemented at a server system for controlling play of media content on a media output system by voice. The server system receives a voice message via an electronic device, and determines that the voice message includes a media play request having a user voice command to play media content and a user voice designation of a media output system. In accordance with the voice designation, the server system identifies in a device registry the media output system that is associated with the electronic device in the virtual user domain. The server system then sends to the identified media output system another media play request including information of a media play application and information of the media content requested to be played, thereby enabling the media output system to execute the media play application that controls the media output system to play the requested media content.
