An apparatus comprising a bidirectional amplifier or node supporting out-of-band signaling may be provided. The apparatus may comprise a first diplexer, a second diplexer, an upstream reverse amplifier, and a downstream Out-of-Band (OOB) amplifier. The first diplexer may comprise a first diplexer band-stop filter and a first diplexer band-pass filter. The first diplexer band-stop filter may be connected between a first diplexer first port and a first diplexer second port. The first diplexer band-pass filter may be connected between the first diplexer first port and a first diplexer third port. The second diplexer may comprise a second diplexer band-stop filter and a second diplexer band-pass filter. The second diplexer band-stop filter may be connected between a second diplexer first port and a second diplexer second port. The second diplexer band-pass filter may be connected between the second diplexer first port and a second diplexer third port.

Automatic redisplay of a user interface including a visualization

An example system and method for selectively conveying content via User Interface (UI) display screen sections of Business Intelligence (BI) software. An example method includes displaying a UI display screen section within a UI display screen; providing a UI mechanism that allow specification of a condition; determining when the condition is met; and automatically redisplaying at least a portion of the UI display screen section in response to the determining, resulting in a redisplayed UI display screen section in response to the condition being met. The UI display screen section may include blogs or other activity feeds, visualizations, UI controls for manipulating the visualizations; for specifying conditions for redisplaying, i.e., bringing back the visualizations, etc.

Secure enrolment of security device for communication with security server

Provided is novel technology for secure security data transmission and more particularly for registering network-enabled security devices such as IP cameras to a security server over a public network such as to a cloud-based security service. An enrolment server is provided that is logged into using a computing device to request and receive an activation code for the security device. The activation code is then provided to the security device, e.g. directly by the computing device. The Security device authenticates itself based on the activation code and in one example provides a public key that will be used to verify its registration. Data transmissions by the device are secured in part on the basis of its registration.

MULTISOURCE MEDIA DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A method for delivering media content to one or more clients over a distributed system is disclosed. The method may include generating a plurality of network-coded symbols from a plurality of original symbols representing a first media asset. The method may further include generating an original plurality of coded variants of the first media asset. The method may further include distributing a first coded variant of the original plurality of coded variants to a first cache on a first server device for storage in the first cache. The method may further include distributing a second coded variant of the original plurality of coded variants to a second cache on a second server device for storage in the second cache.

Information Centric Networking (ICN) media streaming

Media streaming is contemplated, such as but not necessarily limited to facilitating streaming of audio, video, etc. over networks operating according to Information Center Networking (ICN) principles. The media streaming may be facilitated with a request-response protocol of ICN being leveraged to enable streaming media at infinite scalability without a priori knowledge or guarantee of network resources and bandwidth.
