VIRTUAL INTERACTION SESSION TO FACILITATE TIME LIMITED AUGMENTED REALITY BASED COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MULTIPLE USERS
20210306387 · 2021-09-30 ·

Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, method, and user interface to facilitate augmented reality based communication between multiple users over a network. Session configuration data including configuration parameters of a virtual interaction session with a first user is received from a first device. The configuration parameters include an identifier of a second user that is permitted to join the virtual interaction session and a micro-chat duration that defines a time limit for a real-time communication link between the first and second user during the virtual interaction session. The real-time communication link between the first and second user by causing display, by the second device, of a live camera feed generated at the first device. Upon expiration of the micro-chat duration, the real-time communication link between the first and second user is terminated.

System and Method for Digital Program Insertion in Cable Systems

Alternative approaches to the insertion of local commercials and messages into networks feeds are provided. Embodiments include digital commercial insertion for cable operators and others that not only offer more flexibility and features, but may also be significantly cheaper to implement. The actual “insert” of the local commercial or message into the digital program is performed by a standard set top box, with several methods of providing the local commercial to the set top box at the proper insertion time. Another embodiment allows a cable operator to significantly save on equipment in the form of splicers and ad inserters, by allowing easy and dynamic mapping of local commercials to insertion zones.

Systems and methods for generating certified images and incident reports are disclosed. An image capture device can be used to capture an image and integrate metadata from camera sensors as well as other ancillary device sensors into the image. The image and its metadata can then be certified upon a check that the image and its metadata are authentic and unaltered. The image and its metadata can then be included in or as a part of an incident or other report describing an incident or event such as an accident or a crime. The image and/or incident report may be maintained at a cloud-based server for viewing, authorized editing, and subsequent distribution.

SECURE ENROLMENT OF SECURITY DEVICE FOR COMMUNICATION WITH SECURITY SERVER

Provided is novel technology for secure security data transmission and more particularly for registering network-enabled security devices such as IP cameras to a security server over a public network such as to a cloud-based security service. An enrollment server is provided that is logged into using a computing device to request and receive an activation code for the security device. The activation code is then provided to the security device, e.g. directly by the computing device. The Security device authenticates itself based on the activation code and in one example provides a public key that will be used to verify its registration. Data transmissions by the device are secured in part on the basis of its registration.

Deterministic re-multiplexing for DVB SFN networks

A method for adding Time Marker Packets, TMPs, comprising Metadata to an MPEG-2 transport stream transmitted via a broadcast network for providing a deterministic transport stream, comprising providing feeds of data from at least one source, where the feeds comprise payload packets being referenced by a common 1 PPS reference, and where the feeds are input to at least one multiplexer, MUX; providing Time Marker Packets, TMPs, as input to each multiplexer, where each TMP comprises a plurality of time stamps per second measured relative to said 1 PPS reference, and each TMP has a value representing an Absolute Program Clock Reference, APCR, at the time of transmission, where the APCR is based on the Epoch time, and where the TMP packet further comprises PCR, OPCR locked to said 1 PPS and UTC leap seconds. The invention is further defined by a device for executing said method, as well as a method for coding a deterministic transport stream in a Single Frequency Network, SFN, and a device for executing this method.

Enhanced distribution image system

A system is described for distributing images from a plurality of image capture devices using shared per-pixel parameter definitions for the images over a network of coordinated GPUs, processors, remote IoT devices and services, where minimal information transfer over the network is achieved by using pre-defined quantum states and minimizing serial stages and the coordination over the network is optimized using a machine learning engine.
