A method for transmitting an image and an electronic device thereof are provided. An image transmission method of an electronic device includes displaying a message transmission/reception history with at least one other electronic device, sensing a selection of a camera execution menu, displaying a preview screen of a camera within a screen in which the message transmission/reception history is displayed, detecting a touch on the displayed preview screen, if the displayed preview screen is touched, capturing an image of a subject, detecting a gesture for the captured image, and, if the gesture for the captured image is detected, transmitting the captured image to the at least one other electronic device according to the detected gesture.

An energy saving setting unit controls an image forming apparatus that makes a transition to a power saving state if a transition time passes without any prescribed operation in a normal state, and it includes: a unit for storing specific day information distinguishing a normal operation day and a specific day; an auto pattern updating unit determining the transition time in a normal operation day based on past operational status of the normal operation day of the image forming apparatus; a specific day pattern registering unit receiving and storing setting of the transition time of the specific day; and a switching unit, switching the state of conduction of the image forming apparatus using the transition time determined by the auto pattern updating unit and the stored transition time, on the normal operation day and on the specific day, respectively, based on the specific day information.

A display device includes an imaging unit, a display unit, and a processing unit. The processing unit determines whether or not a subject to be operated is included in a captured image. When the subject to be operated is included in the captured image, the processing unit causes an additional image and the captured image to be displayed so that they are superimposed on each other. When displaying the additional image, the processing unit sets, in the captured image, a first region in which display of a human's hand is allowed and a second region in which display of the hand is not allowed. The processing unit allows a hand imaged into the first region to be displayed as it is and does not allow a hand imaged into the second region to be displayed.

An image processing system includes a reception unit that receives an image forming instruction from a user, a retaining unit that retains the image forming instruction in association with the user, an acceptance unit that accepts an execution instruction from the user; an authentication unit that performs authentication of the user, and an image forming unit that executes the image forming instruction retained by the retaining unit in association with the authenticated user. The image forming unit executes the image forming instruction without accepting the execution instruction by the acceptance unit in a case where the authentication unit completes the authentication and cancellation of execution by the user is not present within a holding time.

An electronic apparatus includes a communicator, an image capturer configured to acquire a capture image of a display apparatus including a screen, and a processor configured to identify a screen area of the screen, within the capture image. The processor is further configured to sample a plurality of patch images, each of which having a predetermined unit size, from a background area outside the screen area within the capture image, generate a screen image to be displayed on the screen, based on the plurality of patch images, and control the communicator to transmit the screen image to the display apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a controller that, when a device that changes an image presented in a field of view of a user along with a motion direction of the user receives an output instruction of the image, performs a control to output an image of an area being presented to the user at a time when the output instruction is received.

An image forming apparatus combines a plurality of sub-movies representing operation procedures to be performed to perform maintenance on the image forming apparatus and plays the combined sub-movies sequentially as one movie. In response to stopping the movie being played, the image forming apparatus displays a replay mark for use to issue a command to replay the movie from the beginning of a sub-movie corresponding to a position where the movie is stopped.
