Battery management system and battery system
A control circuit is configured to monitor and control the operation of a rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery includes a plurality of interconnected battery cells which are connected to at least one pole connection of the battery by at least one circuit element such that the at least one pole can be electrically decoupled from the rechargeable battery. The control circuit further includes at least one cell monitoring device configured to detect operational parameters of at least one battery cell, and a first control device configured to determine battery properties by evaluating operational parameters. The first control device is connected to the at least one cell monitoring device by a first interface. The control circuit further includes a second control device configured to control the at least one circuit element and which is connected to the at least one cell monitoring device by a second interface.
System, method and apparatus for remote wireless sensor device configuration
A configured mode of operation of a wireless sensor node unit can selectively activate a first subset of sensor channels of data and selectively deactivate a second subset of sensor channels of data. The configured mode of operation customizes the sensor functionality in the wireless sensor node unit in support of the delivery of data streams to customers.
System and method for detection and alert of energy resource outages
A system for alert of energy resource outages includes: a resource monitor, disposed within radio range of resource meters that each transmit corresponding radio signals indicative of corresponding meter identifiers and current readings, configured to: determine whether the corresponding radio signals are fixed frequency or frequency hopping by scanning frequency channels for a time period and counting hits of desired meter identifiers; decode each of the one or more of the corresponding radio signals of the resource meters according to determined protocol to obtain one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; and transmit the one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; and a server, configured to: receive the one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; employ the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings to detect an outage; and transmit an alert that corresponds to the outage.
Time offset determination without synchronization
A method and system for the post-adjustment (i.e., offline) of event timestamps to implement virtual time synchronization amongst detection node clocks. In existing methodologies with the goal of clock synchronization, clocks (and timestamps generated therefrom) are disciplined or adjusted at the recordation time of the events on a detection node (e.g., a switch/router, an Internet-of-Things (IoT) device, a wireless sensor, etc.). However, there is no particular reason for these clocks or timestamps to be accurate during the recordation time, but rather, should be accurate at their use or interpretation time. Further, through these recordation time adjustments, clock drifts and timing errors may be gradually introduced, leading to runaway inaccuracies. The disclosed method and system intentionally avoids the disciplining of clocks at event recordation times on the detection node and, instead, adjusts timestamps during interpretation times, to overcome the aforementioned issues.
HEAD-WORN REMOTE INFORMATICS SYSTEM
An informatics system that can be head-worn under a helmet and used to provide a wearer's vital statistics and other information to a remote monitoring station, for example in connection with pre-hospital emergency care.
EVALUATION AND TRANSMISSION OF COMBINED EXTERNAL DATA FROM ONE OR MORE ASSETS TO A CENTRAL DATA PORTAL
Systems and methods for evaluating and transmitting combined external data from one or more assets are described herein. An example method may include collecting, by a data processing device communicatively coupled to a central data portal, sensor data from one or more assets, processing, by the data processing device, the sensor data to evaluate status data concerning status of the one or more assets, transmitting, by the data processing device, the status data to the central data portal, and storing and visualizing, by the central data portal, the status data. The data processing device can be co-located with one of the assets. The assets may be selected from a building, a room, outdoor location, a vehicle, a person, an indoor location, and an outdoor location.
Modification of a sensor data management system to enable sensors as a service
A modification of a sensor data management system to enable discrete sensor applications. A sensor data control system enables discrete sensor applications to control the configuration, collection, processing, and distribution of sensor data produced by selected sensors at various monitored locations. The sensor service offered by the sensor data control system can be leveraged by any sensor application having an interest in any part of one or more monitored locations.
ENHANCED METER MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
A method includes receiving, from a first head end system (HES), a first raw file including a first set of events in a first HES specific format, and modifying the first set of events in the first raw file by a first HES adapter to create a first unified formatted file. The first unified formatted file is in a unified format, and the first HES adapter is connected to the first HES. The method further include transforming, by a core HES adapter, the first unified formatted file to a first data management formatted file according to a data management format, and consuming the first data management formatted file.
System, Method and Apparatus for Augmenting a Building Management System with Indoor Air Quality Sensor Information
A system, method and apparatus for augmenting a building control system domain. A sensor network platform can be configured to collect data based on measurements from sensors outside of a legacy building control system domain, and to present information based on the collected data to a known interface supported by the legacy building control system. In one embodiment, the collected data can undergo customized processing by an operation center outside of the legacy building control system domain.
